Anyone play Warhammer by Games Workshop?

Post by Miro Mishu »

..the tabletop mini's game :)

Either 40k or Fantasy?

The reason I ask is I've played for years and i'm looking to get out of it all. I just don't have the time to devote to it anymore...

My 40k armies include:

1) A full I-Guard Army (prolly 2000+ pts) painted ok.

2) A full Black Templar's Space Marine Army (Painted well, and one of my Dreadnaughts was a Golden Demon award winner for painting; no I didn't paint it.)

Both armies are stored in offical GW cases (worth a pretty penny on their own).

My Fantasy Army is an Ogre Kingdoms Army Professionally Painted:
--It should field about 5000pts if you use every model but it designed to be used in 1500-2000pt tourneys with a ton of variation capabilities.
--Pro Painted means: This guy paints models for a living. He has won many awards locally and his stuff is as good as any paintjob i've ever seen in a magazine. He wanted to paint my army so badly (because the army was brand new when I picked up the models) that he put his all into it.

---------------------------------------

Anyhow, if anyone is interested let me know and we can work somthing out for some, part or all of it. I'm not looking to make big bucks on it, rather just get back what i've invested into it. Shipping out of the US. will probably be a tad tricky but i'll make it work if you're interested. Pics are available of course, just let me know!

Thanks!!

uh, we've played the PC games. I think there's a couple 5punkers who were into the figurines and such. I don't personally know anyone though.

I played back in the day, got through the rounds a few times at golden demon, never won though. I think most of it was put in the attic, I have a few of my better paint jobs displayed, but I have neither the time nor inclination to start with the gaming side again, I suspect most 5punkers who did play don't anymore, you may well have to ebay it or similar to get any money back.

Ebay is rough nowadays due to the complete lack of being able to stop scammers from cancelling your auction via buy it now.

The latest scam are people who use counterfit cashier's checks that pass initally at the bank. A friend of mine tried to put his army up and it was bought buy a scammer twice in ten days. Ebay and other bidders noted on the guy's account about their history and the auction was reinstated, just to be B.i.N.'d buy another scammer. He said it was more of a hassle then it was worth...

So, i thought i'd start here and see where that leaves me :) Ebay is always an option but if I could get it into the hands of a friend here or a fellow gamer at the least it would be optimal!

Thanks!

Website here= linky. Started in the 70's, its miniatures for assembling, painting and tabletop fighting, a progression on P&P gaming, various armies, lots of back story, rather ridiculous prices nowadays.

Prices have skyrocketed since China bought up the world's supply of Tin almost two years ago...

As for plastics, the price on the molds used for creating plastic mini's is much more expensive so they don't even make plastics cheaper now :(

I'll look ya up on Xfire later and we'll go from there :) You can PM me here too if you have any questions.

Thanks!

I did play 40k, had a spacewolves army and started a Tau one.

Sold them on ebay last month :)

Not for profit, but for a decent amount.
