Sitrep

Post by friznit »

It's midsummer (don't be fooled by the weather), people are busy doing real life stuff and I think it's time I did another sitrep to keep you all informed of the goings on in our little internet spaceships empire!

BUM Alliance

Our campaign vs UCE continues. This was started for no other reason than to give us a unified goal and so far it has been very successful. We have caused in the region of 4 bill isk of damage for the loss of just over 200mill and had a lot of fun in the process. It's also hilighted a few weaknesses in the Alliance which we are working to rectify (like a total lack of dreads, for example). The Goonswarm war dec was totally random and not linked in any way. We currently have one medium POS up next to UCE space (see alliance mail) and our empire base is in Nakah.

We're about to recruit 2 US based corps to bump up our numbers in that TZ.

NR Industry Corp

Lots of members but a disappointing turn over of isk. So far most of what we earn goes back into POS and jump fuel. We have recently secured a deal to supply MC with ice fuels which should pull in about 1 - 2 bill isk per month if we can keep it up. NR is open to anyone in BUM who prefers quiet industry over the excitements of PvP.

5punkorp

Wabbit is going to run weekly PvP ops on Wednesdays. These are corp only ops and designed to give the less experience pvpers a chance to spread their wings without Hobo's yabbering on TS. Frigs, cruisers and battleships will be provided by the corp as per the Fleet Replacement programme. Everyone welcome!

I'd like to recruit a few more players, preferably PvP oriented but not essential. I'd ask everyone to help out with this please.

Generally things are pretty healthy and we're having fun. As always, if anyone has any questions, ideas or issues let me know.

i'm still in close touch with R-E and always poking them about us, our new alliance and how we use to role together those days from long ago. Never know what will happen but will keep you informed.

Hola,

Since disappearing i've continued to cook Miro on his Dread training (I completly overlooked the entire skill tree leading to Siege Modules. Oops.) And i'm close to being able to properly frontline a Moros. As for my other account: I have started a toon that will replace Larantia in short order (I am working on all my learning skills to rank5 atm. It's amazing learning at 2500+sp's /hour and how rank1 skills learn at just over 5mins). He's a Minnie and i'm not exactly sure how i'm gonna develop him but he will be ready to roll on a basic level in about a month.

So, when I pick up my Moros will most of the ops continue to be while i'm at work? (IE. EU Primetime?) or will you guys be burning the midnite oil to run some ops while us Americans are up and about?

Anyhow, that's my status as of now!

Ta Ta,

Hopefully by pulling in these US based corps we will be able to increase activities in the 2300 - 0700 time zone. The major weakness of our alliance at the moment is our inability to react to UCE/Sylph engagements during these hours - despite having quite a few US individuals already, we have no central driver (FC's etc) during those times. Hopefully this will rectify things a bit in that direction.

Not sure, I think Creative Destruction might have a few, but not sure.

On the dread front:

Within the next few weeks we should ™ have about 4 dreads. This is enough to hit a small towers in 10 mins.
With this, I have suggested that we scout out small UCE pos's and hit them (basically stepping up the war) and see how they react (and how we got on fully deploying caps).

Must have setup on all armor tanking dreads:

Hi: 3/4x Guns
1x Siege mod

Mid: All cap rechargers

Lows: 2x Capital Armor Rep,
1x Kinetic t2 active hardner
1x Thermal t2 active hardner
1x Explosive t2 active hardner
1x Eanm t2
1x DC t2
1x CPR t2

Rigs: 3x CCC

(Note. fit faction/officer/deadspace wherever, can fit all t2 if need be).

Phoniex:

Hi: 3x Citadel Torps, 1x Siege Mod

Med: 1x Capital Shield Booster
1x Invun Field
1x EM Harnder
1x Kinetic Hardner
1x Therm Hardner
1x Cap Recharger
1x Shield Boost Amp.

5x PDU t2

Rigs: 3x CCC

(Note. mids will NOT fit all t2. Stick faciton/deadspace/officer there =) )

Before stepping into a dread I would advise getting all skills too 4 (capital guns, dread, tactical weapon reconfig, reppers/booster).
Always get a set of both short range + long range guns (beams/pulses, autocannons/artys, blaster/rails) as you may be sieging up close to the tower, or far away.

For anti capital uses, you want to fit damage mods + sensor boosters etc.

POS sieging dread setups are all about tank. Thats why you should never use damage mods on a POS siege setup :)

Oh and get an alarm clock, always helps with cycles ;-)
