Dear lord, the red font of doom!

Anyway:
Athlon XP 2600+
512 PC3200 DDR
30Gb 7200rpm HDD
GeForce FX 5200 (oh the shame)

Oh how I despise that graphics card.

And I agree with the dual CPUs needing to be the same. Unless you move the faster one around the computer at lightspeed, so it slows down... /relativity

Out of interest, what O/S are you running? (Seeing as you have dual Xeon's, and I'm still making up my mind whether to get a secondary one or not for my XP Pro machine.)

On a side note, I just ordered these from Overclockers.co.uk to improve my 0wnZ1nG sk1LL5

I'm running Windows XP Pro. To be honest, I really haven't noticed much of a performance difference. I got this machine pretty cheap from a reseller (it used to be a CAD workstation for Ford Motor Co.). It get's the job done though. ;)

How good is your webcam? Whenever i see a webcam picture that isn't low resolution and grainy and general crap quality i always feel cheated. Webcams should be shit in quality by nature.

I sometimes think about getting faster speed ram instead of my 2GB PC2100 DDR RAM.

It's just a shame to waste money on RAM when you've already got 2GB of the stuff if you knwo what I mean. :?

yeah, itll be a shame to get rid of it, but my system used to take over a minute to load everything up on logon, now it barely takes 10 seconds

DO IT!

Intel P4 3.4Ghz
Abit IC7 mobo with Intel 875P chip
1Gb DDR400 RAM
Video: NVidia Gforce 3 Ti200
Yamaha DS2416 + SW1000XG soundcards
AX16 ADAT Interface
Creative Soundblaster Live
Hitachi 21" monitor
3 x 80gb Barracuda 7200rpm HDDs
1 x 10gb Cheetah 10000rpm SCSI HDD
Big 120mm Copper Zalman Heatsink Fan cooler thingy

The weak point of this system should be the Nvidia card - but it seems to handle everything I throw at it

They are good cards, I have about 4 of them lying about in my room at the moment.

I'm a bit pissed off with my GeForce 6800 128 card at the moment, because I'm only getting 3000 as a score returned in 3DMark03 running everything at default.

It should do far better than that, but something's not right, and I don't know what.

I have a feeling it's Direct-X, but I already have the latest Direct-X 9C running

God knows what's up with it, the rest of my system should be more than enough to get a better score than that, and as for 3DMark05, mine crashes when running the second game test

I use my Dell Inspiron 8600 to game, as it's loads (take that how you will) than my desktop...

Pentium M 1.5 GHz
512 MB DDR 333
128MB Mobility Radeon 9600 Pro Turbo
40GB Hard Drive
24xCD-RW/8xDVD combo
15.4 in. 1280x800 screen
802.11G Wi-Fi

I get about 45 fps in HL 2/CS:S.

Unfortunately that's just the way Halo is, especially on XP.
Halo runs about twice as fast if it's on Windows 98, whcih is extremely frustrating.
Let's just hope when they port across Halo 2 onto PC, they won't fuck it up this time 8)

Which system?

Hmmm.... my main rig is as follows at the moment:-

AMD Athlon XP2400 Thoroughbred
MSI K7N2 Delta-IL mobo
2x 256Mb PC2700 DDR
GeForce FX5700 256Mb
Western Digital Caviar 80Gb H/D 7200RPM
Quantum Fireball 120Gb H/D 7200RPM
Soundblaster Audigy Platinum with breakout front panel

It'll do me for now, at least it will until PCIe and 64 bit architecture become more prevalent. Then it'll be time to do another bank job for a nifty new set up again*
