No, because the generally accepted transliteration of 餛飩 is "wonton" (apparently - I don't know either of those characters (surprise surprise) so I'll have to trust wikipedia).

Also, I'm hungry for wonton now. Bastard.

Dream on. This is the US, where everyone knows that seeing a booby or hearing a naughty word is far more harmful to developing minds than wanton violence.
SHOWS WHAT YOU KNOW EION

He does say it, although they kinda mitigate it somewhat because he's firing a gun simultaneously.

Yes... it does rather, doesn't it.
Without even having seen the film, I knew that the word "fuck" would not be in it.

Now that I've seen it (:sweep:), I can confirm that the word "fuck" is not in it. "Yippee-ki-yay motherf-" is all it is. There is no "ucker", muffled by the gunshot or not.

As to the movie? A curate's egg-ish 6.5 to 7, like Berk said.

While swearing is one of my favourite things, I can see the need to produce something younger kids can watch without them running around the house calling grandad a motherfucker.

This series has always had massive appeal to kids in the cleaned-up pre-watershed versions, so it kind of makes sense to do that, while the er..die hard fans will know the catchphrase, it goes over the little ones heads.

I'm not prudish about kids saying bad words (rather hard to be where I live) but I feel they should at least have an understanding of the meaning of the words in their vocabulary, rather than just parroting adults.

Personally, I think the apocryphal curate had actually just farted.

The whole movie was just average, nothing new, exciting or groundbreaking.

Not to mention, it was meant to be Die Hard, not some kind of poor 24 style thing.

Just didn't work for me.

well, fair enough. I found it to be a visceral feat of asplosions and shooting.

From what clips/trailers/etc I've seen it looks dead set on being the worst of the franchise

From having seen the movie, I can assure you that you are correct.

That's well possible, but be that as it may - the expression still exists. ;)

Please, no mention of viscera. It might upset the kiddies. :P

Psshh, I'm gonna be watching it at the cinema for 2 reasons:

Its got asplosions, its gonna be nice on big screen

Being able to say "DIE HARD FOUR POINT OH!" --- By the way, why the 'Point Oh'?
