PVP Basics for the rest of us.
Ok I've been in ISS fleet battles. Ive defended myself from others. Ive run as i was being attacked while taking this pipe or that. I been there for small battles. I still do not really know how to fit out a ship to be able to take it hard and still come out swinging. (no sexual jokes intended erabbit).. The reppers discussion from the first blood post got me thinking. Could someone point me to a good Post or maybe give be a good basic ship layout for me to pvp with. I fly Gallante. I'm not worried if i have the skill or not I'm looking for something to work toward.

try the 5punkwiki at

There are several fits there and they are identified as PvP / mission running etc
Favorite at the moment for soloing seems to be BC, but cruiser is lots of fun and a vex is cheap and easy to fit for solo PvP try
His; NOS, drone links
Mids; scram, 2x web
Lows; tank
Drones; best you can carry (I take 5x T2 mediums with mixed damage, 5x Warrior 2s)
If you want more DPS, swap out NOS for Rails.
You can fit this mostly from loot and is 100% insurable so easy to replace when you get blowed up. Drones will likely be your biggest cost....
