Shargles, reporters, and other animals.

Post by Dog Pants »

What the hell is a Shargle? I suspect it's what's been howling in the mountains (as that's where I've found it), but there's no indication as to what it is.

Also, there's a new edition of the Derby Post (Chronicle/Tribune/Sun/whatever) out in which we fail to be mentioned again

Dunno, I found one up the mountain too. I attacked it and ran out of AP, then someone else killed it. Not sure if it drops anything nice or not, didn't get the chance to find out.

I had a look for them but all I found was Roman hiding in a far corner, so I shouted willies at him and made good my escape

They were mentioned n the in-game news a while back. They lay eggs that hatch if kept warm. They're apparently quite vicious.

I went looking for some a while back, but by the time I got to the mountain the buggers had been wiped out.

Well I'm a spirit so unless it can banish me it can do its worst. Not sure how I'll keep its egg warm with my ghostly arse though.

Always ready for that, although from comments they made when we first started our campaign against CP I suspect they are refusing to give us any publicity. The called us idiots if I remember correctly.

Code: Select all

Jungle

Here you can see some large bushes and some long grass but not much in the way of trees.

Also here is a rogue elephant.

I've already mentioned this to a couple of your members, but we aren't actively ignoring you. Also, there's no one we've called idiots. The Yorkman called you immature and compared you to a part of the female anatomy, but that's another newspaper entirely.

Anyway, hi. I'm Black Joe. I play Songa (native trader hanging out in the Waugh right now), James Barnes (Tribune and founder of the Derby Hospitallers, chief surgeon at the Derby Hospital, Editor-in-chief of the Derby Evening Press), and Otago (native headhunter). I also have played a couple of other characters who are neither active nor relevant.

Ahh, you managed to get registered then. :)

I get the impression that The Yorkman didn't like us for some reason, can't imagine why

Sure did. Thanks!

In all fairness to the Yorkman, the only behavior we'd seen from 5punk at that time were some arguments on the CP board (not that arguments are unusual on the CP boards). I think that left a lot of Shartakians with a bad first impression ("Great, more crazy Yorkers"). Your activity since then has caused a lot of us to revise our opinions upwards, though.

Ah, I do apologise then. I tried to avoid arguing on the CP boards personally. There's a famous phrase about being brought down to their level and beaten with experience that I was painfully aware of.

They still published my article though

Probably helped that I used a nom de plume.

That was you? I thought that article was great. Feel free to submit articles to the DEP. It's been pretty slow in terms of news this fortnight.
