A question for you videophiles:
My 360 has male component out connections and my TV only has DVI and SCART. It came with an adaptor which goes into the DVI socket and provides male component connections on the other end. Obviously male to male is not going to work, at least not in this case. The easiest solution I've found is this:

Will the fact that it's obviously designed for composite and stereo connections matter? Can I use it to connect component without loss of quality?
Or do you know of a place I can get a male DVI to female component cable/adaptor?

That's what I thought/felt but not sure so I went for a new 360 to VGA cable and I'll use VGA to DVI adaptor. It minimises the number of connections but is probably over-the-top.deject wrote:I would think that since all that would do is connect the cables together it should work, but that's just my instinct and not based in fact at all.
