The Dark Knight - Batman Begins sequel

Post by spoodie »

Personally I loved the last Batman film. The car was a bit shit in my opinion but the rest was great. And a nice come-back after the shameful efforts that came between the first two and Batman Begins. Perhaps number three wasn't so bad.

Anyway this is the new Joker:

Looks like Brando in Apocalypse Now had too much cherryade. But quite unnerving and certainly very different from the camp Nicholson version. Not that I'm complaining, I still love that film.

I don't know, that looks a little too "Street" for me.

They should've hired Mark Hamil. He totally has the definitive voice of the Joke, and tt's not like he's doing anything right now, anyway. :)

Interesting, I'd have gone more for someone like this guy:

Well I'm certainly looking forward to this one! Loved the last one, and felt it to be more of a return to the darker original 2, although obviously without the Tim Burton influence.

It'll need some Bruce Campbell to really shine.

I suppose I really should see the last film some time.

Agreed, I think it looks ace. Joker was supposed to have been disfigured in an accident involving chemical/toxic substances - for me all the previous Jokers have been a bit too "symmetrical".

I hope Ledger plays him well. I've always thought that Joker has the capacity to be a truly scary super-villain. He might not have super powers or anything like that, but he is one twisted fucker.

I have high hopes. I like that they are clearly not just trying to recreate the Joker of the older films, I think Ledger will be able to do the scary loon quite well.

A new trailer, looks interesting:

Still about 6 months to wait though, it'd better be worth it.

I'm really looking forward to this film. I too love the original two Tim Burton films, and thought that Batman Begins was ace.

Fix'd

On that note, I swept Batman Begins a while back to try it out on my PSP. Imagine my surprise when I fired it up on the bus to find that what the host had called Batman Begins was actually a poo-fetish movie. The chinese lady sat next to me was visibly shocked.

somehow, i always believed heath ledger could make it big. i still believe he can, but he'll have to prove it with this film.

That's 6 minutes of the film isn't it? I'd rather wait, also it's cam.

Rather looking forward to this, big fan of begins and the original Burton ones.

I hope the joker will be more like he was in some of the "grittier" graphic novels that i remember reading a few years back which gave me the willies.

[edit]

From the trailer, thats most likely :)
