Good to see 5punkers at the top of the Killboard last week, although we didn't quite manage to pip BD off the number 2 slot (Davik is an exception, he actually is an internet spaceship. Lilan told me, so it must be true). The one thing that immediately springs to mind however, is how are we to entice the likes of Knight and Deviant to come and join our corp ops? Would be nice if you guys game on our run outs and added your guns to ours.

I know it's been said on may occasions that the corp can underwrite ship losses for frigs and cruisers and teh PvP BS scheme takes that to a whole new level. The fact remains, though, that getting "killed" by another player is an unpleasent experience for many that only gets easier with practice and the only way to get practice is to ... errr ... get blown up.
Last week, Jimmy and I had a whale of a time blowing up HACs on SiSi and those who came know how much fun the spider rep practice was, perhaps we can start here to get people used to the sound of their own ships blowing up and more used to how capable some of these ships are.
Otherwise, the proactive encouragement for PvP-inexperienced players (including me) to join in fun fast ops that do not in any way include sitting in a POS shield for 4 hours is the way forward, imo
I suppose I'm saying that I think we're doing OK, we should keep doing it and progress will come

Our roaming inty/frig gangs are great fun and we could probably graduate to cruisers, recons, maybe even HAC's (one day) when we get more confident in our abilities. One thing that is a joy to see is that as a group we seem to have naturally become good at the fast hit and run tactic: no hanging around gloating on a kill. We get in, do the business, then move swiftly on.
Battleships are more of an alliance requirement for when we need to 'bring it'. I feel strongly that people shouldn't have to blow their own isk on an alliance task if they're short of money, hence the corp programme. In return, when there's a call to arms I'd expect everyone who is online to turn up in their bs. That's only fair. Once we're making isk again, I hope we'll be able to work out a financial assistance programme for T2 ships and fittings as well.
Finally, what Bomber said about SiSi is true. A few hours blowing the shit out of each other on the test server gives you a huge amount of confidence in your ship and abilities. Not nearly the same adrenaline rush as the 'real' thing, but a useful starter for ten.
Well, generally I dont have the required ships/fittings etc (i.e. for the remote-rep spider concept for example).
I did get involved in the early 9UY alliance fleets, but of late I havent had as much time (at the RIGHT times
) to play....so small gang stuff works well
Edit: Pah, posted before I had finished
I'll try to be in some corp ops soon - ships/skills dependant of course! lol.

No matter what ships we're all in, a fast tackling frig is ALWAYS welcomeKnight wrote:Well, generally I dont have the required ships/fittings etc (i.e. for the remote-rep spider concept for example).
