How do I get a profile on Thottbot like this?

First of all you have to install COSMOS into your WoW folder. This is an interface customising mod, which includes Thottbot. Download either the Alpha or Release version of the mod and install into your Wow directory.

This mod CAN change the entire look of your interface, but you can disable the extra addons so you are left with only Thottbot or you can keep as many as you would like (An explanation of thier uses are on the website). This is done from the Addon screen. MAKE SURE THOTTBOT, CHRONOS and SEA are all ENABLED



OK, now you have to tell Thottbot to collect your Character info for uploading. Choose your character as normal and click on the cosmos options button on the minimap.



Now Select thottbot on the side menu and tick the COLLECT PERSONAL EQUIPMENT PROFILE box (and any other information you wish to send), this will be collected everytime you log into WoW and sent to Thottbot.



Next up, visit http://www.thottbot.com and create an account. Go to MISC -> LOGIN. Enter a username and password (doesn't have to be the same as your WoW information), write them down and click on create new account.

Now when you installed Cosmos, a file called COSMOS.EXE was placed into the WoW folder. Run this and click on preferences, then go to set Thottbot login. Enter the username and pass you just signed up with.

Now just run the cosmos.exe before or after you play to update your profile. DO NOT set WoW to auto run as this will not show you as playing on Xfire.

What is the difference between a Normal, PvP and RP Server?

Firstly, let me explain what PvP enabled means. This means the rival faction is able to attack you. The only way to remove this is to not attack any rival faction member or heal any of your own faction members for 5 minutes.

Now the differences -

PvP - On these servers there are 3 types of zones; HORDE, ALLIANCE and CONTESTED

If you are in your own factions zone, no rival faction can attack you unless you initate it (you then become PvP enabled), and vice-vesa in a rival factions zone.

In a CONTESTED zone rival factions can ALWAYS attack one another no matter the level difference or how outnumbered you are. (i.e You are PERMANENTLY PvP enabled in a CONTESTED zone)

Normal - On these servers you become PvP enabled by either attacking a rival faction member, walking into an enemy city or typing /pvp into your chat bar. You cannot become PvP enabled by changing zones.

RolePlaying - This has the same PvP rules as the Normal servers, but playing the role of a hero is Azeroth is more enforced (Naming policy, Out Of Character Chat etc)

instead of clicking on the Wow.exe to start the game just use the Cosmos.exe, and your profile will be updated whenever you play WoW.

When I did this - XFire didn't count me as playing WoW, I had to run wow.exe manually after updating.
