YQB Ninja Mine

Post by friznit »

Plan: Go to 0.0, ninja mine some better-than-empire ore, leave.

Where: YQB

When: Fri 18 - Sun 20 May

Why: Fun, profit and to prove that we can do it.

5punkorp is responsible for the organisation and logistics, so we'll spend this week getting together a small POS, barges, crystals and stuff.

Lyrus may wish to join in, but certainly can help with the carrier logistics.

Hobo's will remain in the area for our protection (not camping the gate, but roaming nearby and hopefully keeping Sylph occupied).

If we can pull this off smoothly, then it might demonstrate to the Alliance that we're capable of doing more exciting stuff further afield.

Jimmy: is buying a small POS from corp funds. Fuel, stront, guns, ammo hangar, ship maint, stasis web and warp scram are all in the hangar in Elgoi.

Mano: will move all the mining spares down from Osvest to Assah. We'll take a couple of T1 fitted retrievers, covetors and a selection of haulers for general use. Specialists can bring their own.

Things to do:

Check hauler/barge stocks and fittings in Elgoi hangar. Build more if needed.

Make sure we've got a slack handful of crystals for each ore type (T1 & T2)

Pack it all into freight containers ready for Mano to move down.

Ofc alot depends on the situation in Providence next weekend. We'll need to freighter the ore out to Unity for refining so it's got to be fairly quiet.

Forgot to add: this will be a compulsory op. It's to get some isk/mins for the corp to help keep us all in battleships so when we fight we can turn up in something useful, rather than frigs which pop before the screen loads.

If anyone needs a bs, let me know. The corp Initial Battleship programme still stands. I'll put a sticky up outlining this for those who aren't fully aware.

If you don't turn up, I'll get Lilan to lick you.

As i'm free nearly all weekend (may need to dive out at some point to play in the CS:S tourney) I might splurge some of my cash on a command ship and get the full rack of mining bonus's going as well as a few lasers and drones of my own :)

[edit] How many people do you expect to turn up? If it is more than 20 i'll slap wing command 3 on to train today

Before you do, see whether that Lyrus alt (who is it again?) is going to be around. He's got leadership skills up the ying yang - might save you a few bob. Then again, the Nighthawk is dead sexeh...

I'd be going for the Vulture for this op so I could run several links simulataniously but I can pretty much guarantee late friday evening/night and all saturday and sunday presence (with brief breaks to stick stuff in the microwave and refill the tea cup) so I don't mind getting hold of one.

Not sure what I can do to help, I can't fly any industrial ships bigger than a hoarder and I don't have any battlships at all currently.

Right

Bubble's off on some school trip malarkey (she's a teacher not a student :P ) so I should be free, unless hills and bikes get in the way.

Further to previous posts, I will also remob my PvP stuffs to Assah and get my BS there too, it's been mission running for me recently, but I should be able to afford a Domi to take over from it now.

Oh, and as of this morning I have cov-ops :ninja:

I should tentatively be available as well. MIL and FIL are scheduled to be away, as is my daughter, and the wifey works! ofc, with my luck, the bank might accept our offer quickly, just so I'll have to spend the weekend packing! The good news/bad news stuff is getting kinda old! Like the fact that we were going to hold off on an offer on the place, but the state tax return showed up, so we could afford it all of a sudden! So watch, the banks will be quick with a response, and we'll only have a couple more weeks stuck with the inlaws!

Not that I would mind packing at all, it's a very welcome activity to staying there forever. But missing a ninja mining op would suck severly!

Of good note is the fact that I'm travelling this week, so should get some nice playtime whilst on the road. Room service and Eve ftw!

Spend some sp time trying to get to T2 expanders, will help you with quantity alot. That and I don't recall them taking alot of work, seems I just plugged them in one day, but might have been prereq's for something else I flew. Another thing nice to train up for hauling, is passive shield tank skills (sorry, at work, no idea what a hoarder tanks with) I know the Iteron can fit a pretty nice passive tank, don't know what the hoarder can fit.

Basic Horder layout is 1/3/3

Hi: cloak/mining laser (locking a target takes ages though, so anything other than cloak is pointless. maybee a remote repper)

Med: 1x Sheildbooster, 1xinvulnyfield, then either a small mwd/ab, or a medium sheild extender

Lows: best named expanders.

thats about it.
