SLA by internet

Post by Dog Pants »

This is starting to pick up momentum now, so I'll start a new thread for SLA related stuff. Characters so far are:

Deject, Wraith Raider, Scout
Joose, Frother
Grimmie Grimbola, Human, Death Squad
Roman Totale, Ebon, Point

You'll need a squad name between you (players form into squads for administrative purposes on BPNs. Your party effectively), and as I said in the scheduler if people could get a copy of their character to me (preferably on my excel character sheet) so I can see what's going on and fill in any gaps.

I'll try and put up a guide to character creation on the wiki page for those of you who want to play and haven't created one already.

Well I suppose 5punk Squad would be a bit too obvious. Squad Cat Herd! Actually did you know that the word 'egregious' originally meant "outside the herd"? I think that is quite a fitting word for us as it's definition is "Conspicuously bad or offensive".

I reckon we should post our skills so we've got a pretty good idea what each of us can do.

hmm...so, I have this reading disability...whereas I cant read anything over 3 paragraphs :P

What is the goal of SLA? In D&D it was to kill things to gain Levels and Equipment basically to make your toon more powerful.

What would be a example of an hour of SLA?

^^ 3 paragraphs :P or you can just tell me to go read the neverending wiki heh

It's pretty much the same in SLA - do missions to get more money and buy better kit, or to get a better clearance level to find out more about SLA, or on a quest for knowledge of the Ebb (sort of magic).

An hour of SLA would consist of a bit of banter with the contact, a bit of investigation into a serial killer or cult or terrorist cell, a few firefights and hopefully a few sticky situations or problems, and a lot of interaction between the players.

I found this on a forum whilst searching for Deathsuit info:
Cutlery drawer, stick about 200grams of explosive out of some grenades or about half a kilo blackpowder in a pipe bomb in there.
Hook it up to a light sensor and an electronic detonator some night when theyre in bed or off on some BPN.

Open drawer.
Light sensor connects the circuit.
Bang.

Spoon in the face.

I've updated the main page of the wiki so that the SLA info and link are on there.

Fair enough. I wasn't going to spam the front page with it 'cos it's a bit specialist and not particularly in character with 5punk, but I'm not really bothered either way.

The only thing that does not work is the KNOWLEDGE stat doesn't round itself up like it should. Other than that it works like it should.

I've done quite a bit of tinkering with my skills - get rid of some of the Ebon ones and just generally balanced it out a bit.

Still no skills in "Awesomeness" though :(
