What did you think of Star Wars 3?
I saw it Monday night and thought it was okay, much like the other two recent efforts. Visually amazing, with action to match but lacking in every other dept.

Good, better than the last 2, but with some major flaws;
The reason and way Anakin became a Sith, lame.
The bad b movie (im aware this was probably on purpose and mimicking Frankenstein) Anakin getting his vader suit bit, comical and not a fraction as epic as it should have been.
But I still really enjoyed it, and compared to some recent hollywood blockbusters it was a masterpeice.

It should have all been about the relationships between Anakin and Padme / Anakin and Palpatine but there was just so much else that needed to go in there.
And what about Anakin; "it's so unfair, I want to be a master" kevin the teenager style. The suited vadar seemed a lot less sinister with some snot-nosed, whiny kid inside.

The new films will never be as good as the original trilogy because they don't have the gritty underdog feel. Ep1 and 2 could have been good extensions to the Star Wars saga were it not for the inclusion of childish and improbable slapstick in the form of Jar-Jar Binks in the first film and the C-3PO's head swap stuff in the second. The third film didn't have any of this sort of thing, so I was more than happy with it. Thumbs up from me.
