Woo yay me

Post by Lateralus »

Just gotten hold of CoD and I'm liking it. Just completed the standard game, and about to give United Offensive a crack, then I'll be coming into the big bad world of public servers to get my arse handed to me again like in CS:S!

Hooray! I started playing it online just over a week ago. I've had it for months and never bothered with it, but now I'm hooked.

Huzzah, glad you bought it.

It may not look as nice as modern day games such as CS:S and the like, however it plays beautifully online.

Be good to see some new faces every Tuesday night

Lateralus, it's worth playing United Offensive before going online, just to get used to using the run button, deployable MG's, satchel charges & vehicles...

Playing the original COD online just isn't as good as UO, and almost everyone now plays UO online.

There it is, the reason for me to buy the UO expansion. Just need to find a cheap copy ...

P.S. Lateralus, if you are feeling up to it, we're playing a COD:UO game on Tuesday tomorrow at 19:30 GMT

http://www.5punk.co.uk/phpbb/scheduler. ... how&id=160

I'm pretty sure you've used Teamspeak before with us, so hop on teamspeak, and we can help you out with any silly questions you may have.
If you don;t have a microphone, you can just listen to us daft buggers making impressions of Nessie The Dragon ringtones* and so on

*might just be me

Thanks for the offer, and I'd love to come play, but unfortunately I'm working tonight. I work at the Student`s Union so that means work every friday night and normally one or two others a week as well. Next tuesday should be ok tho.

Not got a mic yet, and will probably wait till I move house at the end of june and get a new internet till stuff like that. Been listening in on TS tho, enjoying the banter, and the talk buttons in-game mean I can join in too. While we're on topic, is there any way of getting TS to show you who`s talking when you're in-game? I can often guess who it is, but it would be useful to have it shown till I can learn people's voices!

Ah well, maybe next week

As for teamspeak, I'm guessing Jinxx & Berk etc... know who's talking at what point because they have dual monitors

I'm going to get a new monitor soon(ish) because the ancient Dell thingy I have now is on the way out. Sometimes gets this little vibration in the display which makes my eyes go bloodshot if I try to look at it for too long! However, I too could then have a dual display (if my desk in my new house is big enough!) because although my Radeon 9550 isn't great, it does support dual monitors!
