Half-Life Modification List

Post by --LaNiMeL-- »

Well, this is a list of most of the Half-Life mods worth playing...

HL1 Mods
Earth's Special horses: Fast Paced DragonBall Z Combat Mod.
The Specialists: Half-Life meets The Matrix; Bullet Time, insane stunts - it's all here.
Natural Selection: Marine vs. Alien AvP style mod, you can upgrade you troops/Aliens and such.
Action Half-Life: A lot like The Specialists.
Vampire Slayer: Like Counter-Strike but with vampires and slayers.
The Trenches: I can only imagine this to be a DoD type thing but WW1 instead.
Firearms: Half-Life but with tonnes more guns and maps...
Hostile Intent: Like Counter-Strike, but not as popular.
Sven Co-op: Play together against alien hoardes.

HL2 Mods
Half-Life Rally: Source: HL driving simulator.
GarrysMod: Not really a player-centric mod, but still a bit of fun to pose ragdolls and set them on fire.
Half-Life 2 Capture The Flag: HL2 Deathmatch now has that all important game mode.
Pilotable Strider Mini-Mod: Blast stuff to shit in a big Strider you can control.
Half-Life 2 Source Racer: Multiplayer Airboat racing joy.
Plan of attack: Tealistic-ish house to house combat, Think CS:S meets HL2DM meets CTF of some kind.

Moderator's note: Due to --LaNiMeL-- no longer being a moderator in this forum, this list is now being maintained by fabyak, Dr. Kitteny Berk and Jinxx. If you've got a suggestion for a game that should be up on this list, then drop a message into the thread. Once a game gets added, that message will be deleted to stop the thread from getting cluttered.

Please try to keep discussion in this thread minimal, if you'd like to talk about modifications and suchlike, please consider using a new thread.

I've decided that 5punk should no longer support CS Standard anymore, so any relevant threads such as this one, I've un-sticky'd

Hopefully you agree with me :D

Some of the items on the list are saucy and/or working on a sauce version, so while I don't agree with the unsticky, I can't disagree with it either as much of the list is still for 1.6/HL1.

Okay, might be worth one of you making a Saucy modification list, and sticky'ing that, and leaving this one to fall down the screen into the abyss
