Which 8800GTS?

If you touch your software enough does it become hardware?

:above: This. Maybe I've missed something, but it seems a little premature to speculate on a card's performance when it hasn't been released yet.
After been kicked up the arse by Nvidia its pretty much a dead cert that ATi will pull something big and hard out of their pants. :bagged:

I dunno, I think that the graphics war has evened out a bit now, we're not gonna see another 9700pro vs FX5700 situation.

Also, the problem with ATI is that while they have the edge on performance, they're often a good deal more pricey for the first few months, rumour has it the top R600 cards will be running around $1000. Which is a lot.

Nvidia on the other hand often lag behind on performance a little, but more than make up for it on price after a very short time. (7900GT anyone?)

Hands up if you're buying a 8800GTS today.

Tomorrow night will be spent reformatting I think, then a weekend of beautiful gaming can begin.
