A thief-like game...
I remember reading about a game ages ago which appeared in a magazine. It looked rather like Thief, and was set in a medieval type world. I thought at the time that it looks really cool and I should look out for it, but I can't for the life of me remember what it was called. Can anyone think of anything released in the last year or so which might vaguely fit this description? I'm trying to find a new single-player game to keep me entertained for a while, so does anyone have any other recommendations too?

Im with you on this one lat, that game looks pretty sweet, i read somewhere that the demo's show it off as some sort of futuristic world where your re-living a past life quite literally, bit unnecessary i feel, just being a crusader assassin would be enough, that new game, set in paris, with the crossplay thing, that has a similar thing in it,cant remember the game, 'the crossing' i think, you have modern ct horses and out the past ninja types from crusader days. and 'clive barkers jericho' has a similar past present thing, lots of them coming out!!
I picked up Thief 3 in a bargain bin a while ago, but hadn't heard of Commandos, so I'll check that one out. Ta.Fear wrote:

I have it and played probably about halfway through the single player game. It's okay but you need a decent machine to run it at a respectable speed/resolution. The updated Source engine makes a lot of demands of the CPU, physics, etc. The MP is pretty lame, if that's what you were asking about.Lateralus wrote:Anyone played Dark Messiah of Might and Magic before?

Been playing through the singleplayer game quite a bit this week, now I have a capable PC. Have never actually tried the multiplayer, but my 6600 couldn't cope with it, which might limit participation.Lateralus wrote:Still, wasn't exactly serious. Much fun was had though.

I was going to try MP once I'd been through SP, as I quite like discovering the new spells and stuff a bit at a time, rather than being presented with them all at once.

Don't know how far that is, approaching the spider temple I just told her to stay put and only went back to her when I needed a heal.MrGreen wrote:I got around a third through DM and I hated the NPC protection sections too much to bother.
As far as recent stealthy games go - while I'm not a big fan - the Hitman games recently became available over Steam, so I tried a demo and they can be played in a stealthy way.
