If you touch your software enough does it become hardware?

computer says no

Post by Killavodka »

I have a reoccurring problem with my computer and i think i require some professional help. If all else fails ill probably wipe it and start again but id prefer if i didn't have to...

Basically everytime I have Azeuras running it will randomly crash and i dont mean "oops azeuras failed", i mean "ZOMG PHYSICAL DUMP TIEM GO" and it comes up with the error "DRIVER_IRQ_LESS_OR_MORE" or something to that effect, I will try to remember to write down the full error next time but i was too busy shouting at it because i wanted my episode of heroes lol. The only thing that appears to stop it doing it was when i left azeuras running with oblivion loaded (I was leveling up my athletics  )

This has me completely stumped i have tried:

Fully uninstalling azeuras (using the wiki)
Using another client (and it still does it even on a none java based client)
Not even giving the computer oral sex worked (worth a try)

:? ANY SUGGESTIONS? :?

thank you muchly

Get more info. Either from the event log (Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Event Viewer, right click > Properties) or when it next craps out

It'll say irq not less or equal

Then should have more stuff, and most importantly it'll say something like

nv4sys.dll

or something like

STOP: 0x000000p1 (0x00000400, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0xF83D16D1)

That info can sometimes help.

also, http://www.memtest.org/ do that. hard.

I've had major crashes with torrents before because of the amount of peers I allowed, but it doesn't display that error message, and I'm not using azur-something.

Mine was fixed by limiting the peers.
