Operation: Sylph Spankage

Post by Hehulk »

Since the hobos seem relectant to test my spider rep system, I think it's time we showed them first hand how effective. Next sunday I want as many people as possible down in 9uy in a BS of their choice set-up with the following. Ravens and Scorpions are not except from this, so if that's all you can fly well, bring it down.

1-2 X Large Remote Armour Repairers
1-3 X 1600mm Reinforced Rolled Tungsten Plate
2-3 X Energized Adaptive Nano Membrane
1 Damage Control
1 Heavy Capacitor Injector loaded with cap charge 800s
1-2 X 20km+ Scrambler
1 X Web
Heavy Armor Maintance Bots

Close range weapons, so blasters, torps, autos, pulses. Fit what I've listed first though, then worry about weapons. Jimmy, carrier isn't needed for this, grab a BS.

If sylph react as I imagine they will, we'll be outnumbered 2:1+. Should be good fun so try and be there please (5chedular link here 8)

Why? I've done this alot in the last month. It works. Trust me, like you'd trust algey not to get us all killed when we're running different tactics.

Because if I can WTFBBQD I really can't afford another BS at this time. Scorps only have like 4 low slots...I would go down like a sack of potatoes >.<

Just trust me on this, you won't. To add to my point, I'll be in a scorp and I'm broke, so we're in the same boat.

Small side note: I though you guys would trust me on this :(

With my focus on drones, don't know if I can fit all that, but I'll try to by Sunday. Can I bring Heavy Armor Maintenance Drones as well? Or will all the drones lag us to death? With them though, Domi's could add doubly to the rep pool, and the drones don't take any cap, so it's a nice crutch.

Also, by Sunday I might be able to use one flavor of T2 drones. Is there any flavor of damage our Sylph friends might find more distasteful than others?

And finally, I do trust ya Hulk! I hope I can get the Domi moved by then!

So yes, please, bring. Red is those who are no longer with that exact ship.

That is an impressive KB :likesitall:

worth drilling the procedures on Sisi / somewhere safe? I suppose that the tactic stands or falls on how quickly people react to orders to switch remote tanking

Also, Should the enemy defocus their fire (something that goes against all common eve wisdom, but something I've been considering for a while) then I think you might have more trouble keeping up.

To be honest, while calling targets, I'll also be shouting out when people broadcast needing rep (In case people miss it). Basically means you'll have to pay attention to two things I say instead of one which no-one can justifiably find hard (so long as I'm understatable. Hmm, might make the op vent only so we can give those lower quality codets a proper test...)

Borrox to SiSi, that's a play ground and leads to too many false lessons. Sure we needs practice, but lets do it in Elgoi. If you need bs's, then shout. I can either build them cost price or the corp can dip into our communal mineral/isk stash and help out. Same goes for the modules if you need those. This only works if everyone is fully committed and gets stuck in. Ultimate in teamwork. Let's show em what 5punk can do*.

Um... we still need dictors? :P

Not to sound like I don't trust you hulky, but Algey made a good point, CoW fly many t2 battleships, at this point in time BUM does not.

Na, no dictors, and it cancels out. Goons arn't as underskilled Sp wise as they use to be, it's just they have no very few/no decent FCs. There's also been battles when we've had RA T2 sniper gangs hitting us from 150km away while goons mobbed us with anything they could, and we've quite happily won those too.

Important part of this plan is just having a really really strong remote rep chain though,. If they can't break your tank, you can kill em at your leasure

Hulky, for those of us that can, should we fit a Large Repper of our own? Or just concentrate on resists and thick armor? If I understand the system right, we'd not need personal reppers, but for quick rep, it would be faster.

Another thought, but if Ravens only have 3 lows, perhaps they should remain targetted at all times by the rest of the fleet to make sure they can be repped almost instantly, (Or issue at least a few ships to keep them targetted. Ideally, each person would keep at least another ship targetted, in case they take sudden fire).

Please let me know if I'm wrong on the way this would work.
Thanks!
