What should I train for?
Well...coming back atleast to start training up on Mordeth (Caldari-Shields/Missiles). I'm set for BS LvL 4 mishs but looking for suggestions on what to train for PvP. I have BS-5 and everything else 4 close to 5 shipwise.

here's my list of what I "think" I want:
1)AF = Hawk- Tackler/Missiles (Eng 5, Mech 5)
2)Cov = Manticore - Stealth/Cruise Missiles (Elec Upg 5)
3)HAC = Cerberus - Lt/Hvy Missile/Uber Shield Tank (AF skillz, Weap Upg 5, Space Com 5, Aslt Ship 4, Cruiser 5)
4)Log = Basilisk (Cruiser 5, Sig Anal 5, Long Rng Targ 5)
Those are the required skillz...I don't know what additional ones I'll need to make those ships good...

Covert ops do get the scanny bonus, now, advice...
Assault frigs: Hawk or Harpy? As you'll be wanting T2 small rails or T2 standard missiles/rockets depending upon the ship. Nav skills are also highly advisable to counteract the fact that caldari AFs are the slowest in-game, and they ain't fast to start with.
Looking at a good 2-3 months to make them well skills SP wise
Covert Ops: Manticore training you'll be wanting cruise launchers, micro auxilary power cores (Because stealth bombers, even post buff are a nightmare for grid), sensor dampners and cloaking skills. Buzard means science skills (for scaning) and better cloaking skills. Rig skills are also advisable so you can fit those scan reduction time ones.
CCP have really dumbed down scanning, so it's now a case of train skills, probe. Looking at say, a month and a half for ship and support skills.
HAC: Again, which one? Eagle is one of the best sniper cruisers in the game (outdone only I recon by the vulture and the muninn), but that means T2 medium rails. cerberus means T2 heavy launchers, or T2 HAMs, and both ships love shield tanks.
Skill requirements of the HACs not withstandings, this would take you months to skill for fully. Once it's done, you've got a nice ship, but they're pricy too, so losing one hurts
Logistics: Basilisk is, imo, the second best logistics ship ingame, and she's not a needy bitch either. Just need shield emisions systems 3, and some cap rechargers/cap power relays to make it work.
Cheap, cheerful, Primary.

If you're not feeling too confident/rich we could always use tacklers - rifters are the hot favourite but any fast frig with 3 mid slots works. Otherwise you can fly pretty much whatever you feel most comfortable in during the normal roaming gangs. If you can stretch to a bs then a close range gank fitted fleet bs would be good for when we 'bring it' later on. There's a another thread here that covers what makes a good fleet ship.
