Some in there I havent tried, and do look interesting. Quick mini-reviews of the ones I have tried:

Tribes 1: Surprisingly good, for such an old game. But to be honest, theres a bunch of games that do the same, better, for not a whole lot of money.

Trackmania: Bonkers and quite brilliant arcadey driving fun. I found the multiplayer a bit...odd, but I still enjoyed it.

Soldat: fun, kinda makes me feel like im playing a game from the 5punk arcade, but with multiplayer.

Second Shite: Not actually played it, but heard enough from a variety of sources to know that the only time im likely to play this, ever, is if my life depends on it. And even then, I'll be quite reluctant.

Planetside: Kinda like an MMO meets futurebeef. Only rubbish.

Gunz: the dual: Had a bit of a 5punk following at one point. Kinda fun, but felt to me like a good concept that just missed being actually good.

Americas Army: like beef2, only rubbish.

Anarchy Online: like an MMO, only rubbish.

Albatross18: Has some fans in 5punk, but im not one of them. Ive never been that much of a golf game fan though.

If Quake is online gaming's grandaddy, then Tribes is it's daddy. Tribes really brought forth the robust team and class based gameplay that is in a lot of games. I love it but it's just a bit too old these days.

Mini stuff:

Cloud: Weird, quite weird indeed. Fun for five minutes of flying around but that's about it. Gather clouds and use them to complete simple objectives.

GTA2: Original GTA with extra nice bits bolted on. Good missions. Worth a download for a little 'retro' fun.

Maple story: Cack. Dont even let it's faeces ridden carcas skim across your hard drive. Pointless, repetetive, skilless grindfest.

Orbiter: Comes with reams of PDF files to read, almost feels like you have to undergo NASA training before you can even play the game. Downloaded, tried, smashed keyboard, uninstalled.

Runescape: Just.. Just no. Please god no.

Second Shite: See above.

Soldat: Quick paced real time worms style fun.

Trackmania Nations: Speedy cars go VROOOOOM! Good fun. Best grab the starforce killer from the website too if you're paranoid.

I've tried a few of these too.

Albatross 18 is pretty good as free golf games go. I found it easy to pick up and pretty entertaining. Mrs Pants loves it, and it's good fun with 5punkers over TS (so you can laugh at people when they're getting the rage from missing a putt by an inch).

I never got into America's Army. I played the tutorial (which is compulsary before you can play online) but got bored before I took it online.

PCGamer recommended Cloud not long ago as being quite good, and rather unusual.

F.E.A.R Combat had a brief stint here, but seems a bit shallow to have caught on.

GTA/GTA2 were brilliant in their day, but massively frustrating (no saves, ever). Probably pretty dated now.

Scorched 3D isn't a bad little Tanx-a-like. It has nice custom models and plays well, but it's ultimately a bit shallow.

I love all Trackmania games, especially Nations. Unfortunately they all seem to come with Starforce. Even the free ones, which is odd. Why do you need anti-piracy software on a free game?

not bad although some of the games are just a definate HELL NO! (i.e. Runescape). some of them are reasonably good though like Trackmania Nations and Albatross can be funny

I might possibly try Second Shite tonight just as this whole currency exchange thing warrants a gander.

If it is based around programming I'd like to think I could make something worth selling. Maybe.

Might even do a 5punk review if I can last long enough.

GTA is a better game than GTA2 in my view. In 2 they made the cars bigger and added some lighting, but it doesn't seem as much raw fun.

Lineage II is an MMONG, not quite as polished as WoW and crafting is a bit of a grind, but certainly worth a look if you've always wondered what the big fuss was about without having to subscribe.

Return to Castle Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory is similarly good for experiencing a bit of team-based combat without buying a new game, good for someone new to the PC scene.

Albatross 18 - Great fun, enjoyed it lots considering i'd never even looked at a golf game before, Console or PC. Longevity is good as the game provides stuff to aim/work for.

GTA1/2 - Awesome fun, both different enough from each other to make each one playable, plus its fun to play GTA1 to see where the granddaddy of them all started out.

Gunz : The Duel - Fun for a while but lost interest with 5punk. Good, but not good enough to keep you hooked singularly in my opinion.

Soldat - Fantastic and high-larious at points, especially with 5punkers. I need to play this more.

Trackmania Nations - Another great game made more fun by 5punkers. However, it makes my PC graphics card Vomit and restart for some reason or another, as I found out at the last LAN.

What I'll be checking out:

Carom 3D
Halo Zero
Orbiter
Trackmania, Trackmania Sunrise Extreme (If I can get it working)

and i'm tempted to try MapleStory but from what Grimmie says, doesn't sound all that great.

You could spend some of your earned cash as a save point in the churches. It was voiced 'Jesus Saves!' when you walked inside, and money was deducted from you.
