What are you PC System's Scores?

Prior to installing a new GFX card, CPU and PSU I thought I'd run 3DMark to get some benchmarks and see how much the new components improve matters. My scores are below, and I thought we could maybe compare our e-penises in a more objective way.

3DMark03: 7577

3DMark05: 3339
CPU Score: 3769

3DMark06: 1488
SM2.0: 609
HDR/SM3.0: 550
CPU: 706

e6600 @ 3.4 (won't go much higher, I suspect i just got a crappy chip)
evga 8800gtx superclocked (oc'd to 654/1000)

There's really no point until I enter Super Saiyan mode, which might be a while as the gfx card is delayed and everywhere seems to be out of stock.

yeah I'm not going to bother running it yet. when you get 2-3 fps on the first test you know it's going to be bad.

With my GFX changed from 6600GT to 6800GT and my CPU from an AMD64 3000 to a 3700, my new scores are as follows:

3DMark03: 12307

3DMark05: 5407
CPU Score: 4280

3DMark06: 2567
SM2.0: 1114
HDR/SM3.0: 1011
CPU: 862

Overall, its about a two-thirds increase on scores which is pretty good for £60 of spending, in my reckoning. Now to start scrimping for the 8800.

My score for 3DMark06 is 5510

So when people don't say which version of 3DMark they used is it assumed this one or an earlier version, like 03? Because I'm concerned that bobbins got a lot more than me when he setup is not that much better than mine, I don't think.

Same processor and same speed memory, (what latency timings do you have on the Dominator?)

Would my 680i Chipset improve it much?

(edited above as I forgot to include 3d mark version, it was 06)

Probably not.

Having a poke about the interweb, it looks like both scores are pretty much as expected, the 8800s are really very good.

This is pretty much what I'm slowly beginning to do. Mostly through a process of posting on here and waiting for Berk to reply!

Until you bend a load of legs on it like I did when my old heat sink grew rather more attached to it than I'd expected. I think I may have actually soiled myself.

I've found that can be a problem on athlon 64s, fucking scary.

Yes, the heatsink was rather firmly attached, but in the end it all came apart undramatically and unhurt. More worrisome was the removal of my old Glacier 6600GT which is a beast, and perfectly covers up that little latch on PCI-E slots to make it almost impossible to remove without breaking components and/or fingers.

I still don't understand. What do the numbers mean? How does it relate to the Corsair DDR that has latencies with lots of 2s in?
