Thought a proper tally of consent/dissent for our little alliance adventure should be as democratic as renaming the boss at least!

Since it's been some time since a vote...

I say yea, so the more adept among us have something to do, while not having any permanent base outside of Empire keeps us scaredy-cats in touch.
Bit worried about making enemies of uber-corps who could obliterate us if they chose, but hopefully since it's all a bit of fun and not about boring politics, that won't occur.

We're quite capable of handling ourselves, though industry is our real strength. If we had a few more people in PVP gangs on a regular basis, we'd actually be capable of more than just hit and runs too.FatherJack wrote:Bit worried about making enemies of uber-corps who could obliterate us if they chose, but hopefully since it's all a bit of fun and not about boring politics, that won't occur.
I'm a yes, conditional on the final plan. If Hobo's actually present themselves as useful partners then I'm all for it, otherwise the whole thing will fall apart very quickly. I'll be keeping a close eye on developments in that direction.
The major advantage we have here is that we're included as an 'executor corp' and therefore have a direct say in Alliance policies, unlike if we joined an already established group. I also like the plan and most of the people we're with: ex-ISS and all friends we know well.
However, it is as always very important to have a Plan B if things go tits up, and so we should be open to ideas. If you offer some (and Taranis already has), please include as much detail as possible and why you think it would be beneficial for us to go there.

How are the other charter members on industrial strength? You had mentioned they have all the bpo's for capitals, so I'm guessing they're pretty good! What about a caravan scheme for a 'plan B'? Hell, maybe it should be 'plan A' so we can move into an area under the guise of traders while we build up wealth and minerals to build a secret fleet to launch agains unsuspecting foes!
IAC station manager: Sure, I'll let you guys dock for free, but you need to stock us with ALOT of Heavy Missiles, and I'll want a 'docking fee' of 10k of each flavor for myself, per week.
(Alliance negotiator): No problem, we'll send (member x) in a badger to set up cyno's, I'll include you in the plan details so you'll know when and it won't be a surprise. You'll get lots of station tax on it, and your guys will have a great place to shop!
Then start buying minerals to build our BS fleet, ask to open an office so we can set clones there to pod jump into, and one quiet night we'll all jump into our new BS's and lock down the gates as our capitals jump in and start putting POS's into reinforced.
IAC Negotiator: WTF do you guys think you're doing! You were supposed to be peaceful traders!
(Alliance negotiator): Um, if you look at the contract closely, that agreement was between you and one corp. The corps that attacked you are not part of that contract, and as such you are welcome to engage them.
IAC Negotiator: How, they've got the system locked down with OMGWTF amounts of capitals! You guys are gonna pay!
(Alliance negotiator): It's not us that has (x) towers in reinforced with an outpost on the line. Please don't threaten us! If you pay x billion by tomorrow, we'll just leave quietly when you're ready to get your stations out of reinforced. We'll even defend the system until you're ready. Otherwise we'll contact (IAC enemy) and tell them when we're going to fire off a cyno so their Dreads can come in to target practice on your POS's. They'll probably pay more though, so don't take too long to make up your mind. We'll continue this discussion if I see our wallet blink with your 'donation'.
End Transmission....
Ok, little wordy post, but could be a plan 'B' that supports another plan....

As I understand it, Aftermath (aptly named) are a bunch of disenfranchised corps from various collapsed alliance/reformed corps that have fallen out of the war - I think they originally planned to include ex-ASCN and LV and basically go anti-BoB. Anyone's guess which way they'll fall now since PS are essentially a BoB pet corp. Then again, I might just be talking out of my arse and getting confused with someone else. So many new alliances at the moment
Edit: yep, talking out of my
They're a small PvP BoB pet alliance holding down Fountain - they just wanted to recruit one corp, hence PS were an obvious choice.
