Revelations 1.4 Patch on Tuesday

Post by Wiggy »

The Patch Notes are out, here's some edited highlights.

- Overdrives, Nanos and i-Stabs have been tweaked
- Ships now do not need to be repackaged to remove rigs, also rigs can be fitted to ships in space (i.e. at a POS or carrier)
- Fuckloads on contracts, I'll leave you to read that bit
- Faction ammo can now be bought and sold on the market
- Some missions have been tweaked (again)
- The Hulk is now listed as a variant for T1 mining barges and can be invented as a result
- Logging off inside a bubble no longer triggers "emergency warp"
- Wrecks can now be salvaged without having to remove loot first

No significant salvaging changes, I hope that doesn't mean they're happy with current rig prices :(

Edit: Aww, "Armor Repair values are now stacking nerfed like Shield Boost values.", hope that doesnt nerf the hyperions uber tankyness too much.

It's rigs, not armour rep modules, it was confirmed on the forums.... I had to ask hulky :P so yea, won't effect it too much.

Yeah I knew it meant that, but the Hyperion really shines with armour rep rigs, wont be as good now though, hopefully it wont be too bad a nerf.

It's fine. Instead of potentially having a hyperion (Which by the way is the heaviest non-capital tank in-game) tanking 3.6K DPS, your max potential is now something like 3.2K DPS. Can you live with that lee, or is it gimped? :P

Drones/Fighters can not be launched and fighters cannot be delegated while inside a control tower horse field.

Its probably for the best though when you think about it.

Are rigs super-expensive then? I couldn't find them on the market. I bought a few skills as they were reasonably cheap, and some of Hulk's fits in the wiki say you need rigs fitted.

Some are more expensive than others, but no setup NEEDS rigs, they're not necessary, it's just they can make a ship pwn quite a bit more.

and they're under their own category of Ship Modifications if you need them. Don't we have some BPO's of these?

Yeah we have a few knocking about. The BPO's are cheap as chips so you can just pick up whatever you need at the time.

Some of the more useless ones are 5-10 mil, the good ones are around 20-40 mil, far too much if you ask me. As they are now their only use is in T2 ships, battleships and capital ships. I'd like to be able to use them on cruisers and battlecruisers but the cost is preventing that.

T1 ships 3 rig
T2 ships 2 rig

market hasn't fully settled on rigs yet but it will. you get any rig components for the rig i'll make it for you, if i don't own the bpo i'll buy it. also most know i and others are into rigs, i have been doing all mine at 50% empire costs and thinking about lowering them so ask one of us before spending 50mil on rigs on market. also as stated before rigs are not necessary. i actually get into more fitting issues with them. CCC rig for raven is nice (no drawbacks)

i like the changes they made to the rigs to be honest, for me working to get them its easier, now i know i don't need to mwd 100km to the wreck and get nothing. the stacking penalty is fine to be honest, somethings just aren't meant to not get one, i think i read some where a long time ago people had multiple MWD on their Inty going sickly fast, glad thats nerfed.

ps

r things abck up, i got 7 hours till i can play anyways, just curious if it went all right

Not yet. It's saying 1800. And Dolly, I'll happily give you all my salvage if you keep making rigs for me cheap :)

We should all do this, Dolly's already had my collection and will continue to as soon as I get to lvl3/4 which might actually be worth salvaging.

Its up, chat windows are currently b0rked, you cant see avatars of messages. A temporary work around is to resize your chat window every time you see the tab flash, that makes the messages appear.
