I reckon if you're planning to do this, it may as well be a single forum for both and then see which prevails. More people seem to have been expressing interest in Joint Ops, and its more freely available.

Not sure there's any point doing either narf. I think they'll both be a passing phase for most people aside from the diehard fans like me.

I'm with Friz, at least for now. Joint Ops I can see fizzling out after a month or so, and ArmA will probably be of constant popularity with a low number of us. Maybe if they really take off later it'd be worth a consideration, and it might even be worth combining them with the BEEF forum under a sort of military shooters category.

Actually, I'm going to switch and join the two-man bandwaggon here. Best to hold off and see what happens. SWAT and Raven Shield both had a number of us interested for a while, but again it was a bit of a fad that came in when BEEF interest was waning. These might possibly be place-holders for most of us until Stalker/Quake Wars comes out, but I'd be suprised to see much lasting interest.

I say hold off for a while, but when stalker drops (TWO FUCKING WEEKS!) it might make sense to go for an "other fpseses" forum, as by that point, it's quite possible there'll be a load of us playing stalker, joint ops and ArmA constantly

i think we'll just have to wait and see how it turns out, but i won't be able to play stalker etc., because i'm leaving for 4 months in april, so you'll be rid me during this time (mostly). i wonder how much the gaming calender will have changed when i come back...

Pffft, probably less than you'd expect. COD and CS:S will still be there I bet, with maybe Stalker if the MP catches on.

Hah! You mong.

And to bring the thread back on track- I'd leave it until there's a large enough number of threads that need to be kept separate. It's either happen or it won't, and there will be your answer.

Perhaps a "5punkers games of the moment" forum where all these games which turn out to be fads can be collected in one place to be laughed and pointed at by future generations.
