Zombiemod bores my tits off

Post by Dr. kitteny berk »

I find ZM is good for 1 maybe 2 maps at the end of a game, but more than that it sucks.

Please remember that this is also why CSS died last time, people wanting zombiemod all the time and then getting bored after 10 minutes.

I think it's ok with half and half, but when the majority of the game is zombies it does get boring as hell.

Yes! Limit it to 1 or 2 maps, ideally specially designed for zombies and not standard maps. Were these what deject posted a few days ago and I downloaded but never installed?

There might be some maps that work well with it, but everyone standing on a box for ten minutes isn't my idea of fun.

As the new person experiencing the mod for the first time...it's a meh from me, I'll play it, but it gets really boring after a couple of rounds.

yes, but most of them seemed to be biased to humans surviving, rather than zombies having fun,

The way I look at it is, if I want to play Zombie Mod, I'll go find a Zombie Mod server. That way I can get that out of my system. If I see a 5punk game going on, i'm assuming it's vanilla CSS, that way I can get in there and play, so I can shout things like "Bobbins, you bastard!" and the like.

You don't have to play counterstrike to say that, feel free to call me anytime and shout it down the phone!.

I like Zombie mod but the reason it quickly gets boring is we play the same maps where everyone knows the safe spots and 10 rounds on Dust does not a fun zombie make.

I've not played any zombie-specific maps, but is it possible to have certain maps set as zombie, or is it all or nothing? If we can, maybe have the odd lesser-used map thrown into the cycle as a zombie one, with bombs and hostages the rest of the time.

That is possible.

i'm also considering fucking with the zombie spawn time to give people less chance to hide. :)

Hehe, I like it. Well how about random zombie-maps in the normal rotation then? Maybe every third map or something?

Zombie spawn set to 5 seconds should be plenty of time for people to wee themselves in panic and run off at speed.

And guns that need reloading, that would add to the panic.

here's what i'm thinking:

zombie spawn time 3-6 seconds.
Weapons: limited ammo, para restricted.
zombie knockback: lowered a lot
zombie health: lowered a lot (currently is 2500, thinking 500 would be good)

hopefully will make it a lot faster and rely more on shooting accurately than just gaying in a corner with a para
