Lanarchy 27 - Saturday 24th February - Watford

Post by McBain »

Am I okay to post the next Lanarchy LAN in this forum? Or is it just for your own LAN's? Please move or remove if necessary :)

Lanarchy 27

We're back! Our first LAN of 2007 will be -

10am Saturday 24th February

Event Details

As usual we will be running dedicated servers of CS:Source and Battlefield 2 with some UT2004 thrown in for good measure and now Company of Heroes will supply the RTS element of the LAN. Other games are welcome, if enough people have them, we'll gladly get a game going.

Lanarchy events do now of course have an internet connection, but due to the line in, it is very slow. It's enough to get you logged into Steam, but make sure you have everything up to date.

The event will start at 10am and go on until 10pm as usual. There is free parking right outside, and with it being only 3 or 4 minutes from both the M25 and M1, it's a nice easy venue to get to from most of London and the Midlands.

The Costs

A full day of fun with the Lanarchy peeps is only £12 payable on the door. If you want to save a little, you can pay in advance using a variety of methods and the price is then £10. If you are contributing £10 or more, you get the further reduced rate of £7 for the day, but this is required in advance.

LAN Payments are non refundable or transferable.

PC Rentals

I am down to just one rental machine at present, which is a 64 bit 3200+ AMD with Radeon X800 in it. This can be rented for £15, including a 17" TFT monitor. You can upgrade to a 19" CRT for another £5 if you so wish. This must be paid for by February 17th if you want it, simply post in this thread.

Prizes

We have at a very minimum, one G7 Logitech mouse to give away and a PC Game of your choice. I'm currently trying to negotiaite a bit more from Logitech. I'll keep you informed in this thread of any more prizes recieved.

I might be up for this, any other 5punkers fancy it?

The only downside I can think of is not being able to drink cos I'd have to drive home! :ahoy:
