If you touch your software enough does it become hardware?

multi-msn-madness

Post by Joose »

Right, due to werk being wierd, they want me to get an msn account for chattings that I would only use for work related things. Dont ask why. Its stupid, and explaining will make me want to kill things.

However, I dont want to have to keep logging in and out of accounts on my home machine in order to keep up with both. Anyone know of a chat client thingy that allows you to log in to two different msn accounts at the same time?

Yahoo Messenger does MSN contacts as well these days, you could try running that as well as MSN and see what happens.

I believe Trillian can access multiple IM accounts from the same networks, although I don't know how it handles it.

Trillian can do it.

though it used to (I dunno if it does now) make you add all your contacts to all your accounts.

Well bugger me, so it can. Didn't even think to look at that. How handy!

Also, it now lets you keep your contact lists seperate too. perfik!

The microsoft client for mac (Sounds odd doesn't it) has a feature (as yet I've never used, as I don't have two accounts). Where it has a personal account and corporate account. Seemingly for just a situation as this. Its odd, especially as they don't make this for the windows version, but do for the mac. Silly microsoft.
