Gaming headsets
Can you reccommend a good gaming headset, that doesn't cost the earth!?
Also is there an adapter you can get so I can have my headphones and mic plugged in as well as my speakers? otherwise I have to keep going behind my pc to change them all the time!
Cheers

define "the earth" *has the best part of £400 on his head*
I think a few people here use Beyer DT234PRO headsets which run about £40, fairly nice, aren't gonna fall apart after a week.
otherwise, you're probably best looking at Sennheisers.
Also depends what type you want Circumaural or Supra-aural etc. etc.
the adapter you want is called a mini jack splitter and looks like

I have these. They are reasonably priced, comfortable, and sound fucking awesome. Plus, the lead on them is so mighty-long, I can actually leave the room without taking them off (as long as im only going to the kitchen).Dr. kitteny berk wrote: I think a few people here use Beyer DT234PRO headsets which run about £40, fairly nice, aren't gonna fall apart after a week.

I've played with the DT234 headsets a few times and they seemed very nice.
*but* I wouldn't buy them, as I generally have headphones on 10+ hours a day, and my big head makes them a little uncomfortable for me.

haha, I misread that as inches. I was about to call you a very silly Berk.Dr. kitteny berk wrote: the lead is just over 8'
Actually, you are about right. Still fairly lengthy, especially when plugged into the audigys leeetle box.
Plus, my computer is just to the right of the kitchen door.
But my statement is still true! I can wash the dishes with my headphones on!

I use Sennheiser PC150's and can't recommend them highly enough (although I think they have been replaced by PC151's). They aren't cheap, however mine have been going for nigh on 3 years without a single problem, and I very, very rarely use speakers.
I have used them for 8 hour+ sessions and never had any discomfort, the cord is huge and the sound is better than my, supposedly pro, Medussa's.
A+++++++
Would use again :p
