Yes.
Though it's worth noting that the retail will be shorter than the 8800GTX (and rumour has it, considerably faster)

I'd have to chop a hole in the front of my Shuttle to fit that fucker in.
I want DX10: I don't want oversized cards or Fista, yet.

Are they making the OEM version longer, because less amateurs are going to be fitting them? or, because its cheaper, or what?
Seems an odd thing if they're the same specification but rather different sizes.

Probably to allow manufacturers to develop quieter cooling systems. Also, OEMs can better integrate the hueg cards into their computers. This means they can better utilize the cooling the longer card can give. I know that I can't fit 12.4 inches of card into my PC.
