Our horses can stand down in Providence until further notice.
I wonder what IAC/SoD have planned then? I'm still going to stay prepared in Providence despite this, but it looks like the expected Goons assault isn't happening.
Plans to sell both Fabrica and Consido are moving along well. Ushra'Khan have expressed an interest in Fabrica and we are approaching Maelstrom about Consido. Pending a succesful shareholder vote on the issue, they will both be sold at current share trading value (approx 50% of original price).
Count has also clinched a deal with a host alliance for a new area of space. It's not public knowledge yet so I can't give anymore details. But we won't be moving.
All hands call for Thursday 1900 at Fabrica, biggest ships you have. Everyone who is online should be there, no slacking around in JK- this time!
We're off to finish what we started in KBP7. IAC has promised us some shooty shooty this time and no doubt Slackers will turn up too. Should be much more eventful than last night.
Looks like Goons aren't going to do the Providence thing after all. They are however now fully committed to a war against LV in Detorid and will aim to disrupt LV's mining and ratting operations in .... guess where? Tenerifis and Omist. So expect to see a lot more Goony activity around us. From the Goonies point of view, they say they have been playing the long game and have now successfully broken the back of the LV coalition, whilst strengthening their own. About the only thing they really fear is an LV/BoB alliance - which will no doubt be forthcoming if they prove too successful in the following months.
ISS is now to all an intents and purposes part of LV. We live in their space, use their stations, pay them rent, and are fully aligned to their standings. That said, Count won't hesitate to pull the alliance out of the area if it the situation becomes untennable. The enemy think ISS is history because we lost a couple of stations - in many respects this move has just made us stronger. We're close knit, better at PvP, in better areas of space and we've stripped out all the shit from the Alliance. Time to show 'em the beast they've created.
What does this mean for 5punkorp? We're in a pretty good location and we got there early enough that we can make the most of it before (if) lots more ISS come this way, though at the moment it looks like the majority are going to head further south into Omist. The best bit about Serenity is that we get plenty of warning from Calico of inbound hostiles.
Lets concentrate on building up a capable 5punkfleet and practising with it. Come up with new fits, new tactics, interesting ideas. Be imaginative. Play the game! Killing Goons is fun, and we have some pretty seasoned PvPers in the corp backed up by solid industrialists. We may be small, but I believe we can be pretty powerful. Corp pariticipation is going to move to an all new level - we do everything together, from mining to ratting to Goon baiting.
Finally, always keep an eye out for other opportunities. We're all for getting maximum fun out of the game and if ISS proves too much, we need to have a backup plan.

OP CANCELLED
Slackers were in Providence mainly to shoot at Imperial Order (who are blue to ISS and IAC) which was fine until ISS helped U'K against their POS which caused IAC/SoD to come to their aid (in spite of IO). Slackers really don't want to get dragged into the IAC/SoD vs ISS War so have negotiated a peaceful solution.

[05:35:02] Troubadour > we will stop firing on people in 0.0 immediately
Note that this was to a U'K diplomat so Slackers may well still shoot at ISS. U'K have appealed for clemency on this - DO NOT mock Slackers in anyway, but let them pull out and save face.

I'm surprised tehy didn't take it as an opportunity to jump on the fuck ISS bandwagon. They must be about the only ones not on it...
Hopefully you'll get a good enough turnout in the ready room to take a raiding fleet up to ZXIC and spank some IAC arse. Sadly I don't think I can play tonight anyway
A Bit of News: IAC now has control of the old AAA stations in V2-VC2 and 5-N2EV. This also consolidates their hold on the 10/10 plex near there. In short, IAC can now claim the whole of Catch.
Well I may be wrong but it seems like the IAC vs ISS war has come to an end. IAC now have control over most of Catch, including 7 outposts. The threatened Goonies invasion of Providence never materialised. Consido and Fabrica are due to be sold off pending a shareholder vote and ISS is moving into Omist and Tenerifis. The battle lines in the South are firmly drawn: LV and friends vs Goons/TCF/IAC/AAA/SoD. BoB/FIX/MC vs D2/IRON is the next interesting one to watch.
Seems I was wrong after all. IAC were simply taking a break to consolidate, resupply and take control of the AAA stations in Catch. Oh, and they also got themselves a mothership (Nyx). Pilot is Gerontiq.
In a note to ISSN, Algey wrote:[ISSN are] going to redeploy to Calico, which is expected to get hammered on Monday. Make sure everything expensive is in empire. We need Neuts in Calico, and hanger stuff would be nice. Other than that though we should be fine.
Get whatever isn't needed for a week of high intensity fighting to empire asap.
I'm getting a little sick of IAC personally and kinda wish they'd give it a rest. Of course if they're successful in Calico they'll come to Serenity next so as before we should be prepared to move our important assets out. Please therefore do not leave too much junk lying around, think carefully about what you actually need and get rid of the rest.
Hehulk wrote:They don't think calico and serenity are a bridge too far? Meh, more fool them.
What's IACs responce time like when you visit one of their prime systems?
They've taken Marginis and Tycho and have control of the whole of Catch. They have very powerful allies...and a mothership. No, they don't think it's a bridge too far at all.
Pretty poor usually - but they're spread out all over Catch now/
Their allies seem to be merging into a whole. What with the AAA thing and SoD clearly being IAC's militia IAC are getting more powerful in their own right but the allies I see left are only Goonies and that I suspect is a marriage of convenience. I wonder if there's a way to drive a wedge in there.
The more they spread out the more they will leave themselves vulnerable though, It will be interesting to see how LV view this incursion into their turf. If goonies attack them at the same time as IAC come in then I guess they will have to choose. All we can do is fight
If I were LV I'd concentrate on defeding my home systems from the Red Swarm. I doubt we'll be seeing much help from them, whilst we'll be gettin the full brunt of IAC, SoD, AAA and perhaps TCF too. Not a rosey picture, but then I'm getting kinda fed up and pessimistic I'm afraid.
no matter how the next little while pans out, IAC are clearly very ambitious and so will over-extend themselves eventually. They ganged up and came to spank us when we appeared to be a threat all of a sudden. How do you think some of the more powerful alliances will feel when IAC all of a sudden looks like a threat to them? The problem here, of course, is that this may not happen in the short term and ISS (edit/ got distracted) is in the firing line now.
Of course I could be wrong and they might win EVE, which would be depressing.
I hear no talk of engaging MC again, is this an option for a JV between LV and ISS to fend this off or would that be a short term solution only?
