ImageFor it's ninth "Breakthrough" City of Heroes update (also compatible with City of Villains), NCsoft has introduced the 'Invention System,' whereby tinkering types can create new items out of in-game resources. Enhancements, costume pieces, new powers, and gadgets are possible to produce. And if anyone else is still lurking around the server, you can take your new wares to the 'Auction Houses' and try to get paid.

We applaud NCsoft for its continued support of City of Heroes, but it's hard to get excited about CoH (even when the new content is free) when facing the simple truth that many players have been moved on to World of Warcraft. With Burning Crusade captivating the world, will anybody show Paragon some love? Anybody?Read | Permalink | Email this | Comments

Woo!

As for saying that players have been moving from CoH to wow, well that's exactly why I play CoH.

Separating the wheat from the chaff FTW!

edit: I'm really enjoying CoH, especially being a tanker. I think it suits my play style, ie. running headlong into a fight.

Yeah, I quite like playing a tanker. I'm also enjoying my Controller - both very different and so it doesn't feel as repetetive. Not had much chance to play DP recently though.

The glass fronted, dome-ish things protected by the police bots.

Wentworths, I think they are called. There is one on the way to The Hollows from Atlas Station and a few dotted about the other areas.

I spotted one of those and tried to break in. I thought they'd always been there and that they were gladiator arenas.

Ive had a couple of my contacts mention inventy people, but the actual content wasnt there when I went for a look. This explains why, I guess.

Sounds mighty amusing though.
