I've only noticed now that im drunk, but is the top left corner of the buttons slighty squarer and less rounded than the other corners?, or is it that they are more rounded than the other corners?

:?

Is this intentional?, or is it just down to the shadows?

*stares at it for ages*

I like it a lot, very nice. I think 5punky should be more "buttony", like the other icons - without seeing others posts I wouldn't have known to click him.

TEAM!

Looks lovely, I wouldn't worry too much about the b3ta gamers bit either - we still know b3ta exists and it's not like there isn't loads to connect us to it eg. the b3ta profile button down here

:beard:*

*Why is there no down arrow?

I quite like the sticker effect.
I recognised it as a button home straight away 'cause it was in the middle.

I didn't have a problem with it, but given a lot of the changes are to make the site more user friendly, I'd say it'd be better if it were a little clearer.

Hmm like if when you moused over it the sticker greyed out a bit with 'forum index' written on it?

Is Good!

Joose Likes!

My only critisism is that all the buttons and stuff are all sharp and clear, and the 5punk logo really isnt. Makes it look a bit out of focus. Personally, I would have the 5punk text a bit sharper, to go with the look of everything else up there.

But that really is just me being nitpicky so I have something to say other than "yay!"

I'd agree with Joose, now that he mentions it.
The logo is a little too blurry, but I do like the new design of it, s'very shiny.
I see someone put the title="" tag for the sticker home, top idea!

To be honest, the only time anyone should ever struggle to find a forum index button is within the discussion board.

Every single forum page has a Forum Index link, it's just the custom stuff like Discussion Board, Xfire List & Scheduler that won't have one.

I agree though, it does need to be more obvious, and I like the idea of having a different image when hovering over the 5punky with "Forum Index" as test underneath instead of 5punky.

In fact, if an image were created that meant the top part of the sticker had peeled off and was hanging down, with the forum index text where it's peeled off, that would look fucking ace!

I have decided to kick the MKportal idea out the window, as the template system within it is fucking horrible to work out.
Instead I'm going to use the following format, making content for the servers, donation, wiki etc... by including them like so

http://www.5punk.co.uk/phpbb/mods/phpbb ... poster.php

Basically this means any content can go in the middle, and it still uses your cookies as if you are logged in to the site, so as to make it completley integrated.

The main site is going to be a splash page, with links and a bit of info about 5punk and what to do to get yourself setup and runing.
Also going to have a big fuckoff button to link to the forums along with a RSS feed of the latest posts, so that you don't necessarily have to log in to find out if anything new has been posted since last visit.

Also, I like the idea of a down button, but where would you put it without ruining the design???

P.S. Also, some food for thought, this is also the sort of examples "out the box" of what the phpbb_fetch_all mod can do

Good stuff :likesitall:

I'll see if I can make something for the sticker, but I reckon there's people that could do a better job than me.

I don't know if it's been suggested about the front page before, but what you said there is glaringly obvious now you've said it - the front page is where a new visitor will go first, so putting all the things you need to know first on there makes sense. I'd say certainly include a site/community description, something about Xfire, links to donate and the arcade, and the TS thing.
