Gamecube games

One of my mates is going to lend me his 'cube cos he never plays it any more and I fancied having a go at Zelda, both Wind Waker and Ocarina of Time. Aside from the group fun of Monkeyballs, does anyone have any other suggestions for games that are worth playing?

Skies Of Arcadia Legends. Cracking RPG, possibly the best one on the gamecube.

Super monkey ball is mentioned up there

but it is truly an ace game when you have a few mates over. One of the most enjoyable console games I've played, although I've been playing quite a bit of FIFA '07 at a mate's house recently and enjoying that too. Think my mate said he had timesplitters for the GC too actually.

I recently been playing my old 'cube games on my Wii. Harvest Moon: A Wonderful Life is a corker (best hangover game ever), as is Animal Crossing. Also I can vouch for Monkey Ball too. Viewtiful Joe is good, as well as Tiger Woods '05 (I think it was '05). WaveRace Blue Storm is worth a play and Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles too.

If you want to borrow any, give me a XProd, I'm sure some kind of Postal Gubbins is possible for transfer...

Of the ones already mentioned, I'd second:
Skies of Arcadia Legends - A Dreamcast conversion, and a delightful RPG. Not until Suikoden V has a console RPG come close to being this enjoyable, and I don't just mean on the GameCube. Worth the high price that's still being asked for it.
Harvest Moon & Animal Crossing - nice easy-to-play games, ideal for when your brain doesn't really feel like doing very much. Gameboy linking can make you easy money.
Super Metroid Prime 1&2 - the best shooter on the system, although that isn't saying much. Turning into a ball is win, though - even if it does make you wonder why they designed their space stations with so many ball-sized holes. I know why, really.

Also:
Baiton Kaitos - is a decent RPG, although the card-based combat system puts a lot of people off. You're simply 'dealt' a selection of moves you're allowed to perform each turn, though - it's not exactly MTG.
Sonic Adventure Battle/DX/Director's Cut - There's two I think - both Dreamcast conversions, mainly 3D Sonic games, but with delightful RPG elements like the Chao Garden, I enjoyed them despite myself.

Maybe:
Mario Sunshine & Starfox Adventures - 3D platformers similar to Zelda, particularly the latter.
Zelda Twilight Princess is supposedly available for it, but you'd be doing yourself a disservice not playing it on the Wii.
Mario Golf - Interesting diversion, and cost almost £0 when I bought it ages ago, starts easy, but later courses get proper stupid. Varied and entertaining game modes - hitting through the rings is a good one.

Possibly not:
Pokémon Colliseum - Tries to be as good as Pokémon Stadium. Fails. While graphics are better, content, trading and game modes are removed, replaced by an on-rails adventure.
Pokémon XD - Tries to be a 3D version of the classic Gameboy Pokémon games. Partial success. Keeps the battles where they should be, but not enough free-roaming Pokémon.

Definately not:
Billy Hatcher & Wario - will last you about one day.

Someone at work is selling their GC with (I think) 2 controllers for a whopping £20. Its almost tempting, but then again an indefinite lend of one, plus a few games is far better.

However, someone else is selling their PCI-E Point of View Geforce 6800GS 512 MB for £60, which is really fairly tempting from my 6600GT 128MB jobbie. Curse my lack of monies!

I checked up on these:
Sonic Adventure 2 Battle is the Dreamcast Sonic Adventure 2, with the Chao gardens, Chao races, etc.
Sonic Adventure DX Directors Cut (which came out second on the GC) is a partial remake of the Dreamcast Sonic Adventure, but with GB link stuff replacing the VMU Chao stuff and not as much fun, more just standard 3D Sonic stuff, less Adventure.

Tales of Symphonia is a fair RPG, although like Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles I wasn't overly impressed.
Lost Kingdoms 1 & 2 are card-based battle RPGs which are okay.

Turn-based rpgs have never particularly appealed to me to be honest. With the exception of Zelda, which I've tried and enjoyed in the past, I'm planning to use the GC for more of a pick up and play bit of entertainment.

np, I was just highlighting games which were unique to the system and worth a look if you're into their genre.

You're welcome mate, the only two I'm playing at the moment are Animal Crossing (not to be confused with valve's MMOFPS The Crossing) and Harvest moon. When I get home from work tonight or after Uni tomorrow I'll list what I and a mate of mine have and are willing to part with (we kind of just exchanged titles indefinately).

There are some classics that I've not played too. All being mentioned in this thread.
