POS 3

Post by bomberesque »

shanda captison wrote:The reason we were sat around waiting so long wasnt because of setting up gang it was because we were waiting on UK to join us! :P

Wd Fea and 5punkorp you boys are da sex! I think we might be using that pos quite a bit as its a very good tactical retreat point.
:above: this worries me a little .... wouldn't take much (like a pwnd fleet...) for teh bad guys to decide that it shouldn't be there and a lot of us have our lively-hood stored in that POS

Any chance to set up another POS for this purpose? Perhaps in w9 or GMLH, wherever. Would refuelling be too much of a pain?

I know Friz asked us all long ago to clean it out, but since Tycho came under seige, a lot of us (me included) have fallen back to there. If POS 3 is to be used as a tactical POS regularly, then I suggest we clean it out of all but essentials. Even then, it's more than just a POS, as it has tons of our loot cans and other collected (and valuable) detritus. Maybe this is just the impetus we need to spring clean!

or me, I'm gonna complete redeployment to Fabrica ASAP, leaving only my ratting boat and loot cans there

Honestly, I don't think they'd bother attacking W9 when there's more important systems to be taken out with dreads first. Saying that, if POS 3 starts getting used more it may be a good idea to move a bit more stuff out just in case. Can't be too careful :P

Did they get up close and personal to the POS?

POS get any kills and such? If not then they probably aren't really sure where the carriers are/were. Start leaking info that it was R-E.

There are also 2 POSs there if I'm not mistaken. Get ISSN/U'K to use moon mining one instead?

With the amount of lag those damn cans give I pity any dread fleet.

(Incidentally this has been confirmed an exploit if used for this purpose - in your case not true)

I saw 3 bad guy wrecks at the POS, so I guess they know it's there.

If not, we deployed 6 carriers (I think) as part of the ambush so they'd be daft not to put 2 and 2 together and come up with POS.

Rabbit's likely to be right, though, they're unlikely to hit it while they have other operational priorities. Still, I'm gonna up sticks to fabrica, I have too much stuff there anyway (including one *uninsured* BS >.< )

As DP says, POS 1 has been taken down and I'd like to take POS 2 in GMLH down as well. It's not being used cos it's too close to ZX for mining and it's using fuel.

POS 3 has been in ZXIC for over a year now. If they don't know about it they're dumbasses. In fact, plenty of IAC have holed up there in the past when they were still blue to us. Many ISS corps use it as a tactical cyno point for dread jumping and ISSN have a permanent cyno alt logged off in the bubble. In short, it'd do more harm than good to move or close it off at this point.

Do take it has an opportunity for some spring cleaning. If we do make a move to 'rifis it'll have to come down anyway so now is as good a time as any to shift some stuff out. Meanwhile I'm hoping to rejig the defenses a bit now we have freed up room by removing the harvesters.

EDIT: Have started unanchoring some cans at POS 2 - they'll be in the hangar array. Can an itty 5 pilot remove it from the ship array and shit it to POS 3 (pref with some junk on board please?)

Bit of trivia for you, on the new/temporary killboard we're using, 5punk has more kills (80) than White Nova Industries (49) and Prax (20) combined, if we compare member counts it clearly shows that we fucking rock.

As a small aside, you'd be surprised how many ISS people don't post losses to privateers. They must see it as a shameful demise.

I know 5punk do tho.

Go 5punkorp!

Fear, how about linky a couple of examples, we'll embarrass them on ISS forums and look like we're all of teh good KB trawlers at the same tiem :D

On a less pleasent note;

My office cleaner just came in

My office cleaner is a nice lady. Speaks no English (she's dutch) and she does a good job of cleaning .... the office. Cleaning herself on the other hand.... I think she wears teh same workclothes everyday for the week, I should really try to be out by 5.30 on Fridays when she comes round. The 5-day ripeness is almost more than I can bear.

*snif* :faint:

Take Wiggy69's last kill on our KB. That is what started me looking. I just filtered privateers kb by ISS and compared the last week or so.

Our ISS kill that isn't posted:
http://kb.moarty.co.uk/?a=kill_detail&kll_id=29

The privateers killboard:
http://privateer.griefwatch.net/index.p ... 0Syndicate

The ISS killboard (no ISS have died apparently):
http://gunz.hotfuzzonline.com/kb/?a=all ... view=kills

Might want to point out that the privateers killboard is only there if we want to use it. We don't have to post so there are likely many more. Every kill that is on Privateers should by ISS rules be on the ISS KB tho.

Edit:

The member fines might be able to buy MC back?

One downside is that since ISIS went offline due to lack of server rental payments, people have been a bit slack about posting. I'll see if we can chivvy a bit.
