Radio One's Live Lounge (2CD)

I asked for this compilation back at Christmas, and I have to say I'm rather impressed.
I've always been a fan of the Live Lounge when I've managed to catch it on the radio at lunch, and the idea of recent bands playing covers of other songs seemed like a good idea.

To be honest, after listening through the 2 CD's a couple fo times in the car, I think it's a good compilation, but it is let down by the second CD which contains a few artists that frankly I couldn't give a shit about like Dizzy Rascal , The Streets & 50 Cent.

Overall though it is rather good fun, and some of the cover tracks are done so well they surpass the originals, and this makes a nice change from the usual Album stuff I listen to.

I got this too. I listened to both CDs in the car on the way down to my parents' and tried to guess the band, the original artist and the song. There's a few duffers on there but for the most part it's bloody excellent, and as WEY said some of the live tracks are better than the chart releases.

Psh, he is quite shit granted, but the album he released with the film was pretty good. The film itself on the other hand... well good story i guess, but very poorly made. You can actually see him laughing his tits off during a fight scene in a shower room when he is beating on some dude. Apparently the book is a good read, but my source on this is from a builder from Manchester who pretty much defined rough as fuck. So i'll give it a miss.

At a risk of coming back off tangent, i was thinking of getting that live lounge CD, and definitely want to now after seeing that my chemical romance are doing song 2. Like lol
