I'm guessing your on XP and all is working as it should, basically all you need to do is right click the folder you want to share, go to sharing and security, click you understand the risk and all that, then tick the 'share this folder on the network' box. Thats all there is to it, to view it on another computer go in my network places.
Your right i didnt see that their. (Actually i think might make a new years resolution to use proper grammar again, if i dont act quick i may be saying things like 'you're al faaabulous lol')

If you can rewrite this in English and give me some more info (i.e.: what kind of cable you mean by "p2p cable" and what kind of setup you have now) I might be able to help, but as it is, I can't be arsed.Peter Armstrong wrote:Ok well i want to connect two computers together. has to be a cat5 crossover (look through the connector, the pins shouldn't match at both ends)

probably. the good thing about a crossover cable is that you can just plug it straight from one computer the other. then it should work the same as if they were on a bigger network.mrbobbins wrote:

Don't forget, you'll need to share the folders where you want to get the files from so the other computer can see them. Just right click on the folder you want to share and click on "Sharing and Security ..."
