ISS report that this may be the largest cap ship deployment in EVE history

Also, I think this thread should move to the hidden forum.

/edit: ta :ahoy:

now I can say that the report is >80 cap ships deployed in F4r last night including a titan. Local also breached 500 pilots, which may be another record for an 0.0 system.

I for one have never seen as many fighters deployed, it made the carrier losses that we have taken over the last 2 weeks (we've lost 4) frankly insignificant. It serves as a stark reminder, however, of how much we (ISS) rely on our allies....

4? I count 3....?

The one on the gate with no teamspeak/vent/gang...

...and the two pulled out of warp in a bubble when hauling in ZX

Edit: Oh FIX lost one late saturday. What was the story behind that?

FIX carrier logged off at a POS, got probed down and spanked. Apparently it's very easy. You sit in a covops just off grid from a POS with a snoop probe going. Anything that pops up 1mill KM away has just logged off. Quickly warp to it and engage which starts the 15 minute aggro timer. He wakes up in a pod.

I really don't like this logging off at a pos crap.

What would happen if Fea was in Marilyn and he had a powercut / his internet died / client crashed.

It seems to be mostly an exploit - it isn't really a fair part of the game.

I hope CCP makes a logout without agro instant disapear.

oops you're right. My bad. hmm, not sure why non ISS kills against non ISS ships are showing up on the ISS KB. I'm pretty sure that they aren't all on there (ie all of MC / FIX / LV kills against shroud/IAC and visa versa)

/edit: /me hugs teh kitten :D

I guess also if your fighters are attacking you would log out on an agro timer anyway.

The capital fleet should perhaps have some sort of budy program where they monitor that a capital ship has logged, scan it and defend it. Not really sur ehow this would work at all though.

It's now officially an exploit. Apparently. At least, so I overheard someone's gf talking about it in the background on Vent when playing EQ2.

well, that's it then, must be true

assuming that this unnamed person's gf, caught talking about eve while playing everquest (??) is correct; what will be the exploit; to probe out someone who's loggedoffski?

imo that's nuts. Adjust the game mechanics, CCP are applying 2 patches a week on average, I'm sure they can silp it in somewhere so ship dissapears immediately if no agression timer.... That's like saying "drones are too powerful, anyone caught using them will be considered to be taking advantage of an exploit" err. hold on.
