I've already got a Prototype cloak in Tycho from my blockade runner, so even though It's not as good as an Improved one, it'll do for what we're planning, so I may have to get a stealth bomber down to 0.0 it seems. If we've got them at least if we're all bored we can go and piss IAC off, and when I've been in SB gangs they are thoroughly evil.

I think Friz was a little harsh too

and when I say harsh, I mean his response to your slap, not the comment about that cute liddle carrier

Sounds fun but unfortunately for me it would probably take about a month to get into a stealth bomber and have my missile skills at a decent level :( Even then the nemisis is a bit pants.

Also, i've heard that they have things planned for stealth bombers, oveur said something about giving them a new kind of missile like a mini nuke.

K, I have my Bomber in Khank, partially set up (cloak and launchers fitted) will finish getting the rest shortly and then if it could be jumped down to 0.0 when convenient that would be aces :thrust:

don't worry about getting the cov-ops cloak, you can't fit them to bombers (well, you can, but you can't bring them online)

I have teh skillz, a stealth bomber, covops and a spare cloak (part of an abortive 'stealth indy' plan :)) - but I've never had the confidence or knowledge to use any of them.

Since they were a bit expensive I was scared of using them as I am unsure about whether people could still see me and blow me up.

I tried ratting in the bomber, but by the time I'd targeted - the rats had already locked me, so it was a case of releasing the cruises and legging it.

I'm looking for something to get me a bit more interested in the game again (apart from the trade/blockade runner path I'm currently quietly pursuing) and I never found a use for the covops ship as it couldn't actually hurt anything.

I think the plan is to be cloaked (people can't see you at all) then all spring up, lock the target and jam them to high buggery so they can't get a lock, and open fire :)

then hide, repeat if necessary

I never understood all this jamming business, perhaps that was why I was so ineffective.

If you think about all the cloaked ships we have, Friz's falcon can jam them to buggery, Wiggy was in something the other day that webbed and scrammed and tracking disrupted, and the rest of you seem to have Stealth Bummers.

This fleet must go into action. I suggest maybe one of their other outpost systems and irritate the hell out of them.

I'd love to join you but I fear I am a month off being able to bum with stealth.

Edit: Perhaps I can be the bait?

To be fair, this plan would have been great, but now we have lots of help, 5punkfleet kamikase frig gangs will be a lot more fun and a lot more effective.

Unfortunately SB's play a pretty useless role in fleets :( but yea, we could get ourselves up to IAC's home systems in SB's and freak the shit out of them, could be fun :)

Behind the lines anti hauler/miner/generally pissing you off is what the stealth bummer was designed to do. This particular scenario we're in lends itself to their employ better than anything I've known before. Lets fuck up their ratting and mining in RNF and G-7 and when they send OH NOOES TEH BLOB we'll just ss and cloak. Rah!

I had no idea that we had so many stealth bummer pilots... this is gonna be fun :)

[edit] and of course, when we SS, all go to different ones so we don't accidentally knock anyones cloak off

As stated up there :above: somewhere, if SBs can't use CovOps cloaks (even tho they are cov ops ships :? ) - will we not simply get probed and then buggered by any fleet wanting to come get us?
