It's getting better...

Post by Fear »

Well I think I missed the boring part and joined just as it got semi-fun.

I specifically enjoyed jumping about 5 carriers on top of a dread. If only Friz knew one of them was the 5punky one :-). Sadly the dread docked well into armour, it's a shame that station is such that you can redock so easy.

I have managed to grab another 700 cyno fuel from GMLH so I am good to do that again.

As I go to bed IAC have 2 dreads and a handful of carriers, and have retaken control of their station, although MC and ISS seem to have control of the system. ISS has one capital ship, MC still has loads in system. We have begun to see Goons in ZX, tho only a few mincing about.

It seems we got the POSs on the moons by a spy taking some of IACs down. It might be worth tightning who can offline our POSs incase they try the same on ours.

nn all. o/

Eep, taking Marylin up close without a cap shield booster? :faint: Still, real shame we didn't get that dread.

Only corp members can unanchor POS stuff and besides, according to the tactical survey of F4 there were two free moons so maybe it wasn't a spy?

Having RAGoon around might actually work in our favour, since it would mean LV can bring the fight here...and we all know what they have in their pocket (yes, a banana).

The title of this thread makes it seem like a good place for me to interject here, if I could...

The recent goings on down here have been providing me with some pretty gripping reading. It's made me want to come back to Eve more than I have for a long time, but alas "Eve + Wife = badly timed distractions + new clone" I think. Still, I'm well impressed with how 5punkorp runs and with the cameradery there is down here - even more so than back when I was playing. I think that, contrary to various rather loud members of the forum, you guys are a great example to the rest of us.

Well done, and good luck!

There's a lot of recriminations about vent discipline on the ISSN forum - comes from lack of practice both from the fleet and the FC's.

One thing I'm rather wary of right now though is the lack of attention we're paying to the newer members. Quite few members of Fw4ppers, and one or two less experienced members of 5punkorp are in danger of being left out in the cold. I really don't want to end up being one of those cliquey corps that has no time for new recruits, however sound our reasoning may be, and with Dres getting busier this situation is only going to get worse.

Classic case is Grimmie, who jumped in the deep end only to find it all a bit bewildering and me being so busy that I couldn't hold his hand through it. We need to take these guys on board, talk them through getting set up for fleet combat in a rifter or cruiser, and join the fray. It's bloody good fun when you get more than 1 FPS :)

QFT. should be back on tonight. Maybe we ignore fleet ops and 5punkfleet it about the lpace under our own steam? Count's current orders are fro small gangs "I'd sooner see 3 gangs of 20 than one fleet of 60" I think were his words...

Killboard says we lost a carrier last night in ZXIC. Any skinny on that?

BTW; fine post on the North / South divide thread on ISS forums Friz. Some people acting like right c0cks over there, it's reading like EVE-O :faint:

How on earth does someone like that get in the position to fly a carrier and make such an elementary mistake?

linky

Basically a bunch of divisive :rectum: from a few players about whether the North or the South is more worthwhile to defend.
