Okies I have a Leadtek PX7800GTX 256mb GDDR3 SLI (Pci-e) Gfx card for sale in the region of £190 to £170.

I will also have a Leadtek PX7950GTX 1GB GDDR3 Quad SLI (2 cards in one on a single Pci-e slot) when i inevitably get my 8800GTX in januaries. For sale in the region of £270.

Memory isn't everything, on lower end cards it's rarely used and is really just there to scam stupid people out of extra money.

i desperately need a new Gfx card, (i'm currently running 2142 on the lowest settings) but i'm a complete mong when it comes to this kind of stuff. :oops:

I guess the second one is better. Would it handle 2142 well? or future games such as stalker?

The 7950 series is very good. 2 in SLI should easily handle 2142 at pretty much any resolution you care to play at, and should be fast enough to last well into next year. In fact until DX10 only games come out you probably won't need to upgrade.

Should still work, you just need to choose carefully so you don't slay the psu.

check your MSN logs ;)

I told you to upgrade to a bigass PSU to allow you to upgrade to a nicer card or quad SLI in future, rather than buying a medium PSU for the 7950 and having to upgrade your psu for your next graphics upgrade.
