I have two problems with that.

1) Jesus christ, who gave Anham a big ship :shock: :P
2) Oh my god, you n00b, that's overkill on tracking comps and nowhere near enough sensor boosters, and don't even get me started on the high slots :cry:

I concur with Berk. A constantly flickering bit of stuff in the top right of the screen would annoy the piss out of me. If its done so subtly as to not be annoyingly flickery, it may as well be a still image, and get better quality for less file size.

If we can cope with animated avatars I'm sure we can put up with an animated picture at the top. I'm all for it, lets move with the times.

also, it really depends how well it's done, it'll either be fine. or horrible, just remains to be seen

I still think they are worth doing Dog Pants, particularly on the front page, as people don't constantly view that, so it wouldn't annoy anyone.
