Any Northerners using NTL?

If you touch your software enough does it become hardware?

Any Northerners using NTL?

Post by friznit »

Those conniving hoods at NTL - I knew they were limiting bandwidth all along, despite their claims of unlimited usage. That's why I switched to BT, which ain't that great but at least it does what it says on the tin.
Some NTL Fuckhead wrote:As part of our continued efforts to improve our customers' broadband experience we are introducing measures to more efficiently and pro-actively manage network traffic. These measures are currently being trialled in the Preston region, which includes Preston, Wigan and Blackpool.

Limiting bandwith to improve your service? Nice.

BT might not be the cheapest, and they've got problems like anyone else, but at least they don't dick you around whenever they realise they've made a cockup.

Anyone got a link for a bandwith measurer? I know I've seen one somewhere, but I can't remeber where and if i'm having my service limited I'm damn well going to moan my ass off to get it fixed

http://speedtester.bt.com/

This one is always going to be the best as it tests speed into the BT network and exludes the rest of the internet. I find all the random website based ones to give a wide spread of results.
