My daughter's class has a project concerning geography that I could really use your help on. They are getting postcards sent to their classroom, and posting on a map the part of the world they are coming from. There is no prize for the most cards, or farthest distance, but I hope cards from outside the US would help a bunch of second graders learn that they are part of a world, not just a country. On a side note, I'm only asking because I consider you lot my friends, and trust your discretion in this matter. It would show these kids that we gamers are friends outside the game world as well, and that there is social value to the time we spend together in a digital world.
If you could be bothered to drop a postcard in the mail:
Dominque Hesse
c/o Mrs. Isaacs Class RM B2
Akin Road Elementary School
5231 195th Street West
Farmington, MN 55024
For any with the time to spare, I offer you my thanks.

If I can find one I shall send one - tho I'm not sure how easy that is going to be as I live in a nothing place of the country.
Stick enough stamps and an address on, and they will deliver practically anything.

Hmm, there's a good point! What to write!
How about, Hi, I'm (insert name) from (insert city/country) and I'm a friend of your Dad. I just wanted to send you this postcard so you and your class could learn about the world you live in.
(and maybe a bit about what's on the card if you like)
Thanks guys! I know when I was growing up, I had no clue how large the world around me was. Until I was 15 I'd never seen more than 1000 people in the same place together. The world is huge, but the distance between friends can be very small with the technology available to us. I really think that teaching future generations that we're all connected in more ways than we realize is really important. I hope to travel abroad with my family someday so they can learn this, but just don't know when that can be financially speaking.

Oh yes, American cards definiteley welcome as well!
I had hoped to be busy travelling during this project, so I could send her some from all over the country as well, but it looks like I'll be home for at least the next 3 weeks straight, then Christmas after that with my son here, I'll be home for the 3 after that!
So anyone from the good 'ol US, please help out if you can!

Awesome, thanks Dolly! I was just near you last week, Frederick, MD!
Geez what a coincidence! Now I've been near two US players, and still not met anyone! It would be awesome to get a card from there!
Thanks so so much guys, Dominque is a bit shy and not very socially 'connected' with her age group, so this might do alot for her self esteem to get cards from all over! Thanks!
