i'll probably be unable to make these ones, as i'll be working nights this week.

also i seem to be in a bit of a quandry over what to bring at the mo. its either gonna be an all t1 cruiser, or a T2 frig, because i've just got rid of my raven, and havent worked out a full fit for either of the minnie BSs yet.

ooh, maybee a T2 arty fitted dessie, for frig/inty/drone/fighter/pod poppage. havinh said that, i'll get called primary because they'll think i'm an interdictor, which would take the heat of any other interdictors there (for all of 10 seconds)

Another one on Friday that they are making out to be bigger and better than anything before.

I suspect a frieghter op.

(See evemail / ISIS forums)

I shall be in attendance to Fridays and hopefully Thursdays too. Not sure about tonights as I have a cold (insert Awwww here) so I might be off dieing in a darkened corner.

I strongly suspect(TM) that both Tues and Thurs are freighter ops with the ISS civilian fleet locking down Pri in Litom while ISSN escorts the freighters through. It's necessary, but boring and therefore difficult to get enough ISS civilians to turn up. Also, just to be clear these are not mandatory ops that the new charter talks about but every assistance you can offer is hugely appreciated.

Friday's op looks intriguing and I'll defininately be going along to that one :)

Yeah I pretty much assumed this also... It seemed to work really well the other day - even tho you were all bored silly.

I suspect the operation on Friday involves the putting together of all these frieghter ops. Perhaps not the final stage but still linked I suspect. I really hope we are attacking someone / something tho :ahoy: - and not just babysitting some deployment. Might even tech 2 fit something for the occasion....

I know you're in empire mining your socks off to repay me  - but try to get down for one of the smaller ops this week so you're sorted for Fridays. Thursdays I aim aiming to attend. Fit a cheap cruiser for range and EW, put an AB on it for good measure.

They are really simple I suppose, you know about aligning, we need to get your overview sorted so you can't lock friendlies by mistake, and keep quiet on the voice comms also - they get a bit tetchy if you speak when you don't need to. There was a good evemail went out a day or so ago about it in alliance mail.

Those like Friz who have flown several ISSN ops in the past will know this but for those new to it (and while I haven't looked at the individual requests, which will sometimes make special requests) ISS usually ask for one of the follownig ship types,

Interdictor
Cov-ops frigate
Interceptor. Either T1 Frig or T2 inty. Fitting is for fast lock, speed and scram (web if you've space)
Fighter delivery frigate. Fit could be the same as for an inty but you need drone skills (only the skill "drones") to take control of fighters. For those who haven't seen them yet fighters are Carrier drones. they have a tank a bit like a cruiser (I think) and dmg output of a BC. If you have Drones V, you can control 5 of them MWAHAHAHA. Drone control mods don't affecet them, neither do any of your advanced drone skills, which means you can actually handle them well as a relative noob
Cruiser Fitting is for ECM. Most (all...?) races have a cruiser specialised in ECM, but you do need aditional fitting skills to use the mods.
Sniping BS Fitting for ...err... range

Ceptors and fighter delivery frigs are very vulnerable and will likely be called primary in a fight so don't risk anything that you will be at all upset about seeing vaproised Carriers will usually carry several spare fitted frigs to get you back into the fray, should that happen.

These are the fits that the current fleet tactics make most use of. That said, I've never seen anyone turned away for turning up in whatever ship they have or are comfortable in; even a shuttle is a useful (if vulnerable) scout after all.

I would suggest picking one from the above list (I normally go in a tackle/fighter delivery frig or a cruiser) but it's by no means compulsory

Hope this is of some use :ahoy:

Did you forget to mention alcohol? I've been slurred at that this is very much a prerequisite for fleet ops.

I think the most i've managed is two beers which <strike>got me absolutely twatted</strike> is a poor show by anyones standards. However now that I have something to drink other than <strike>Satan's Knob Juice</strike> Grolsch I feel I can do better.

A fleet op is not a fleet op when you know what you're doing and care about your ship!!

I plan on bringing a megathron setup something like this:

7x425mm rails (antimatter, lead and iron charges for close, mid and long range)

2x sensor boosters
2x tracking computers

4x 1600mm plates
3x mag stabs

drone bay full of warriors for killing intys.

I may swap a plate for a repper though so I can repair after escaping.

You really don't want to lose that ship do you?

Don't blame you mind.

I'm toying with bring the new sniping Mega if i can afford to insure it. I am a skill level short of T2 sens boost though, which I'll have on Friday, so I might just stick with Cruis or Frig

Btw, any Celestis yet available? I usually go in a Rax, which really isn't up to ECM at all...
