ISSN operation tonight

Post by Fear »

Does anyone know what this is? They've requested carriers but I would imagine ours isn't quite there yet (cap booster, drones, drone controls, etc).

Basically, if it is another one of those freighter runs (with carriers on standby) I shan't be going this time (as I'd rather sit here and stab my hand with a pair of scissors :bored: ), but if it involves actual enemy somethings I am very much tempted to take a rifter and join the fun (as long as it isn't a 'lock down the pipe and idle in space doing nothing for hours' type one). Perhaps even take the corp BlackBird if no one else wants it, and we have tech 1 fittings kicking about. :ahoy:

Might it involve the ISSN Litom asset maybe? :? Now that could be fun. :w00t:

All of the above :above: I don't know the details, but I think it's getting a bunch of stuff through Doril to Calico. The POS we put up should really help counter Pri as we can now warp in on them from within system thus confounding their T2 sniper tactics.

And thank fuck I was there helping last night - not only do ISSN frankly have no idea how to do POS's, but they had no cyno ships to bring the carriers in with parts

I don't really see how as if we were in the system safe spotted we'd warp in on them - just sitting at a pos instead doesn't really change this. The big advantage here is we can rush the system with frigs, whack a cyno up inside the pos and jump in many carriers and assign fighters like there's no tommorow. If a select few people could keep a cyno alt logged out in the pos then litom is forever pwnable.

I suspect they will simply move one jump into another pipe system tho.

That is shocking. If I was FC the first thing I'd check was we had a cyno gen or two with us.

Is the POS alliance friendly? Or is it in deathstar mode being a little out in the sticks?

Edit: Oh and I dont think i'll be going if it is simply escorting yet more frieghters - I think I've done my fair share.

I won't be putting my (or your) foot into anything don't worry. I'll be in maspah/khank most likely whoring the cyno skills.

I would suspect that the charter would not be enforced or quoted unless a corporation was a serial offender in such cases. If they tried it on corparations like 5punk, Praxx, White Nova then they'd soon piss off exactly the people that don't need such rules to join said operations.

My excuse will always be "I'm on standby to pick up my gf/sister/friend from the station, just waiting for their call" if challenged. You can't argue with that. If someone does have the cheek to challenge me I'd end up attending less in future narf. (Not talking about you here fea/friz - im meaning the tinpot dictators from ISS)

That said I pretty much want to go on as many ops as possible, and quite happy to do frieghter runs as long as thats not what we always do.

Edit: OK that slipped into a rant where I just wanted to say "Yeah no problems" - I am just not having some teenager from ISS telling me what I spend my time at my computer doing. :x  :ignore:

Edit #2: I don't think todays is an 'all hands' operation anyway. They haven't said so on the forums anyway, unless the CEO bit says something.

It might be worth talking in the CEO bit about this, as if I didn't consider it all hands from reading the forums my bet is all the other carebears wont either.

Perhaps:
* ALL HANDS OPERATION *

or something?

i got a blackbird in yarebap being delivered to gamis along with a few other ships. Corp can have the blackbird I am bringing, I have no ecm skills and i got it for mission reward ;)

ships brining up
------------------
blackbird
arbitrator 2x
prophecy
shuttles 10x
executioners 2x
punisher
bestower 2x
crucifier
retribution 4x (i am going pvp a lot now in these things, full T2 setup)

I think by sunday they should all be there. I would like to get them all moved on the carrier if there is room and when carrier ops in effect. besides the retributions if anyone else ever wants to use any of them go for it.

I think you've just been called secondary.

Only been put into the new charter as of this week, but it requires setting standings for every corp in ISS to +10 so will take a while to instigate.
