Icy needs

I'll have ice mining V by mid afternoon, and have my sights on a set of Ice Harvester II's, (cheaper than Strip Miner II's).

I'm looking at the ice in Elgoi, Glacial Mass....

Do we need the hydrogen Iso's it produces? I'm after the Heavy Water and liquid ozone mostly.

Of course I'll need ice processing first, but that can be done...

I just like Elgoi for mining, lots and lots of belts, close to Rens, and good sec.

Only need one belt for ice and the one in Maspah is for you - helium iso's and the same amount of LO/HW as you'll get in Elgoi. We don't use hydrogen iso's for anything, only oxygen, helium and soon(tm) nitrogen.

Kewl enough then! Now for a techynickal question... can I fit two ice mining upgrades and 3 Ice Harvester II's on a Covetor? Is it possible with maxed engineering skills and such?

No, you can only fit the one upgrade. A mackinaw can fit 2 lasers and 2 upgrades though and with the 100% bonus at exhumers level 5 it's like having a covetor with 4.5 lasers on it

Not alot. Your electronics skill will need to be reasonable to get the CPU to fit them, but any self resepcting pod pilot should have this at 5 anyway.

From the Item Database:

"Decreases the cycle time on Ice Harvester but causes them to use up more CPU."

all depends on the ship and your skills.

for example

electronics V to increase total cpu
mining upgrades i have at lvl 3, and i can run 2 on a makinaw but i tend to normally run only 1. with ice mining V cycle is about 340-350 i think. 0.0 no need to train ice refining unless you want, q, miro and kenny all ready have it trained.

cheers, will need to polish off level 3 upgrades as I have all the rest as I did the stealthy thing a while back. I already have ice refining level 2 but if you guys already have it I won't need to persue that any further
