If you touch your software enough does it become hardware?

DVD to a normal Video file.

ok i copy and pasted the file from a DVD of a video and i want to convert it into a single file. So i then can post it on myspace! so i can show to my m8s

How do i do this and what program do i use?

Yeah, I use DVD Shrink to rip the DVD then I encode it using AutoGK (a easier way to use Gordian Knot).

for the less geeky, a trial of divx convert might be an easier way to go
