Help making a exel sheet? for...
Hey guys i was woundering can someone make a sheet with 5 culums. This for Dutie list and its annoying to rewright them everytime we change it so i was wounding having it done on exel instead. This how i like it
Date / Days / Lates duty / Charger duty / Trumpet duty /
and 31 space downwords and a colum on a side to put name in and then when it comes to doing the list all i have to do click on the late or chargers colum etc and select name! U know what i mean?
So if u know what i mean could someone do it for me? i dont have a clue on how to do it!

Do you mean a grid/template with 31 names printed down the side so you can then just put ticks in the boxes for who is doing which duty?
Or how about 31 names down the side, days/dates at the top and then just write in the duty in the relevant box?
If thats not it then I give up. I'm afraid I've read your post several times, but now my brain hurts and I need to lie down for a bit.

I think somebody translated something for me in the past so just repaying the favour... :-)Peter Armstrong wrote:Hey guys!
I was wondering can someone make me a spreadsheet with 5 columns. This is for a duty list and it's annoying to re-write them from scratch everytime they need changing. I was thinking about using Excel to achieve this. This how I'd like it:
<strike>From behind / </strike>Date / Days / Late duty / Charger duty / Trumpet duty /
and 31 rows and a column on the side to put names in. That way when it comes to doing the list all I need do is click on the late or chargers etc and select name! U know what I mean?
So if u know what I mean could someone do it for me? I don't know where to start.
Mucho gracias.
If you use something like Outlook this would be better suited as you could just merge each others calendars and Bob's your cross dressing grandmother. Excel would also do it. There are no formulas involved so can't you just type in the cells the names and the column titles etc?

As most people know, my "later on"' can sometimes mean never, due to forgetting and moving onto other things.Woo Elephant Yeah wrote:I'll do this for you later on today
Sorry I forgot to do this for you, but Lateralus idea looks a lot better anyway, as Google spreadsheets makes sense, so you can view the changes/file online
ok, I have one partially built, but it's got excel-specific functionality that won't work in googlespreadsheets, sadly.
Do you have an email you'd like it sent to?
also, do you want it to automagically calculate the numbers of days/shifts each person has had assigned? (this will take longer to do, but with an array and some other formula, it's possible)
let me know.

ok, got a nice finished version available, but can't find where to put it.
Putfile seems to only take videos.
I can bung it on my ISP when I get home, or MSN groups now.
Try this:

it might work. Hopefully
