Was looking at this a few mins ago. Myrmidon looks win but I'm still not happy about the Hyperion, with those stats I dont think it'll be able to compete with the blasterthron.

Also, I managed to get logged in for 5 mins just now before a 20 minute downtime. They've added standing icons to chat windows :)

Want. Malestrom. Now.

With AWU 5 I'll be able to fit 8 T2 1400mms without any fitting mods. Can't believe tuxford thinks that's balanced, but whatever.

Start to play eve, learn to understand what's in those screenshots, then gasp at how overpowered some of those ships are.

They're changing the way gangs work also. You guys might wantto get a few more people with leadership 5 so when kali hits people can train wing command. Gona be needed if you want gangs of more than 10.

Meh, good thing really. 20 mil a turret for T2 425s atm. Guess why. T2 1400s are going the same way as well, while tachyons remain at a nice 5-6 mil pu

Wiggy will have to sharpen up on the FC skills methinks! What's actually nice about this is that the FC skills match those for the ships - we might actually begin to see the Fleet Command ships used for the purpose intended: providing gang skills specific to your squadron (support bonus for the support sqn, combat bonus for the damage squadron) with the added protection afforded to a Fleet Comd ship meaning they can surive being called primary long enough.

Fleet Commanders in Fleet Command Ships? How rare :?

Does the gang leader have to be the one with Wing Command or can it be anyone in the gang?

Leader, according to screenshots i've seen of the skills it goes:

Leadership: extra 2 members in a squadron per level
Wing Command: extra squadron (maybe 2, can't remember) per level
Fleet Command: extra wing (or 2, again can't remember) per level

Wing Command requires Leadership level 5, Fleet Command requires Wing Command level 5. Not sure if this means that we'll now get squadron leaders, wing leaders and fleet commanders or one person will still control all. Hopefully it'll be squadron leaders, wing leaders and then a big fleet commander, would add some nice depth (or confusion).

Leadership adds 2 to the gang, your right there. Wing command adds 1 squadron, fleet command adds one wing. With maxed skills (Which given that fleet command is a rank 12 skill won't be for some time) your looking at 250 people in a fleet

rank 12?!

That's bonkers! I might look into training up Wing Command a bit... (like I have a shortage of things to train...)

Other than getting cross gang/sqn/wing bonuses from gang modules, what other advantages of this system exist compared to just having multiple gangs of 10?

Disregarding the in game voice comms for the moment (since oog comms like Vent work fine anyway).
